Kevin Durant seems to be holding up well in a sport way more demanding of your Achilles than football.
My doctor says a complete tear is better than a partial tear to get closer to full recovery. The key is to have the injury occur at the heel and not tear from the muscle. From the heal, they can staple it back in place. Then it is a simple case of keeping it still till the scar tissue grows and solidifies the tendon.
If torn from the muscle, you have no foundation to start the procedure from and you will have elongation of the tendon. Resulting in less dynamic capability.
He said for partially torn from the heal, for an athlete he would just complete the tear and start from scratch to retain former capability.
Partial tears can leave you with lingering calf pains.

It's driving me nuts.

Is his injury a complete achilles tear or what exactly?

Can he be 100%
It would be hard to believe this, considering it’s essentially a death knell for NFL backs.
