Today's StarTrib has a note about J Waters transferring, and that he joins Croft, Still, Register, and Holland as players transferring so far.

Nothing mentioned about Brooks. So, it hasn't been confirmed yet by the big media.

The news came out. They didn’t do any research and didn’t realize it was due to injuries. Repeatedly called him a quitter.

I specifically remember them saying that he shouldn’t call it retiring.

Yep, I heard the same discussion. None of them had any clue that he was injured or what type of injuries he had. Their take was that this was a sign that things were so bad with the team that players were quitting in mid-season and were critical of him for giving up on his teammates.
