Gophers point guard Elijah Hawkins 'definitely coming back next year'

Hawkins is better than Cooper. Again, we have seen it in the results 2 wins vs. 9 wins

The team is different this year. Cooper has been the PG on winning teams everywhere but here.

I don't think you can fundamentally say that Hawkins is better than Cooper. Their traditional stat lines are very similar, and if you look at their advanced stats, Cooper is a more efficient and valuable player on a ranked SC team this year, than Hawkins was on MN this year.

Cooper brings things that Hawkins can't and vice versa. This team would have been better with Cooper and Hawkins.

Agreed on your last point. Would’ve been a great guy to play with and to spell Hawk. For their win share/value, that number also gets bumped up when you win more games. That said, would’ve loved to have had him this year.

Nobody else so far has followed Hawkins lead of announcing they are coming back next year. Going to be interesting after the selections happen.

How crazy is it that now you can't even trust a player when they flat out say they are coming back and then the team tweets it as well......the lack of loyalty of any kind is just ridiculous at this point.

This model, if you can call it one, is simply unsustainable at this point. It cannot continue. They are destroying their own product from the inside out.
