KP is closely related to NET.

Gophers after their win are up 1 spot after the win over Purdue (to #45).

They are now one spot ahead of Nebraska (#46) and two ahead of Indiana (#47).

And two spots behind Penn State. (#43)

If we beat Maryland, hopefully we can pass Penn State!!

Ken Pom and Net are NOT better than RPI. They have their place and provide useful information, but they are NOT better stand-alone rankers of tournament-worthy teams.

They are essentially horsecrap.

People said... wait till the end of the season!
People said... it's a predictive measure.

It's turning out that it pretty much sucks at anything.

Might be good for evaluating top 20 teams, but for comparing teams in the 30-70 range, it's a joke until Penn St slides down the rankings.

Gophers NET coming in was 56. With this win, I'm guessing we might be back to 50-52.

Our RPI is 40. Few RPI teams from major conferences miss NCAA's with a 40 RPI. With back to back losses, Gophers RPI could drop to 45 or so, but that should still be good enough to get in comparing resumes.

The rankings of Nebraska and Penn State should be enough for them admit it was a terrible mistake and scrap it.

Give Penn State 15 more points per game and they’d be ranked #1 in the polls.
