per the Pioneer Press:

The University of Minnesota plans to bill a promoter more than a half million dollars for Wednesday night's Rolling Stones concert at the U's football stadium.

Rent for the show at TCF Bank Stadium is $125,000, according to the contract. The U also charged a facility use fee of $2 per ticket, and more than 40,000 are expected to attend.

An itemized list of the U's anticipated costs to prepare for and staff the show -- security, cleanup and the like -- exceeds $314,000, which will be reimbursed.

Gopher football premium seat holders had the opportunity to buy Stones tickets in their usual suites and loge box seats, with the U taking half the revenue from suites sales but nothing from the loge.

Promoter AEG Live agreed to give the university 100 complimentary tickets, and the U bought another 1,500 to sell at face value to athletic department donors.
