That was good. They came out with the MSU game plan - that was bad.
Running some options with Gray, some misdirection, shorter pass routes - something different is what was called for today. Gray would have provided some mobility to escape sacks, too. Next week is no pushover and if Iowa loses again, they will be mad as hornets by the time we get to Iowa City. Possibly - we'll never know - Gray would have made a difference against California, Wisconsin and Illinois - maybe enough to have won one or two of those games.
