Defending the Blue Line presented the Gopher Men's Hockey team with a combat area flown U.S. flag prior to the start of practice today at Ridder Arena, in recognition of the program's support of their organization. Don Lucia accepted the flag on behalf of the team and University, while the rest of the coaches and players looked on.
The Gophers helped raise over $25,000 by hosting a Defending The Blue Line charity game earlier this season at Mariucci Arena, and through the sale of the team's Hockey City Classic commemorative jerseys from the game at Soldier Field in Chicago last month. The jersey's were auctioned off online over the past couple of weeks.
