Good Opportunity

I think this bowl game is a good opportunity for a win. We would have been the underdog in any other bowl game we go to. If I was a person that travels to games maybe I would have been interested in going somewhere else but it is a chance to end the season on a high note. The down note is that it is on the NFL network and we won't get as much TV exposure.

agreed. You can argue going to the Alamo would have been a nice step forward for the program but a big loss to Texas Tech would have negated that. Now we have a good opportunity to win a bowl game and build some momentum for next year.

This appears to be a good matchup. This team needs a win in the worst way. The way we ended, teams like TT, Missouri, OKSall have the potential to make us look worse than we may be.

Who knows? Maybe this will help spark MN/ISU contests down the road in spite of ISU's current NC scheduling philosophy.
