Jalen Mayfield, who was a Gopher verbal commit for a little while in Feb-March 2017 while at Grand Rapids Catholic Central Catholic, is expected to start at tackle for Michigan...he started 13 games in 2019; he redshirted in 2018. he was a .9062 4 star on 247 composite.

Other guys Harbaugh mentioned in o-line comments at his presser today:

Ryan Hayes: tackle, Traverse City West, signed in 2018 out of Traverse City West (.8958 four-star)...sat out 2018, played in 12 games, with two starts last year...

Karsen Barnhhart...is third tackle...Paw Paw, MI....9057 four-star in 2019 class...played in two games last year

Center: starter is Andrew Vastardis...2 star (.77) out of Ashburn, Va...played in half the games in relief in 2018 and 2019...scout team in 2016 and 2017

Inside guys he mentioned:

Chuck Filiaga from Aledo, TX. was a four-star .9475 guy...played oline in four games last year and in 2018, sat out in 2017

Andrew Stueber...Darien, Conn...high 3 star (.89)...one special teams game in 2017, two starts in 2018, injured in 2019

Thanks for the rundown. I'm super interested to watch the battle in the trenches as it seems like inexperience vs. inexperience for the most part. Clearly Michigan has recruited well on the OL, but it'll be interesting to see how quickly the gel and also how they protect the QB. So many question marks heading into the year for both teams. Saturday can't come quickly enough!
