Grimm for Barreiro on KFAN Sunday Sermons.

He gets PJ for 10 minutes starting at 1 hour, 23 minutes or so

PJ says he hasn't had a team work this hard, this consistently for every single day in his seven years here.

Really impressed with this team. Whatever you put in front of them they run right through. Put a wall in front of them, they will run right thru it...not over, not around right thru it.

Getting better every day, not just the guys you know about, but a lot of depth guys you may need week 13 or 14.

We are in year 7, we have good development, we have the portal, we can reload.

Grimm impressed by 91 and 0. (Eastern, Smith)

PJ says d-line looks a lot different than our d line used to look as we add some portal guys (Baugh, Jefferies, Collins) and guys like Smith, Eastern, Striggow develop...you look and WOW! we look like a Big Ten dline!...after 7 years you should...

Tremendous camp from QBs...leaps and bounds since bowl game...leadership, decision making, confidence, accuracy...it is all coming together...Harbaugh and his staff doing a great job with the QBs...helps the QBs that high level weapons around them

Cornerbacks besides Walley: had Tariq Watson and Rhyland Kelly here in Spring....Brought in Jones and Bride from Elon and Ga Southern after Spring...it is like they have been here a long time

Brought in Jack Henderson at nickel from SE Louisiana at ...he had a great off season...physically, when you see him, you are going to say that is a good looking dude...Craig McDonald Auburn transfer...eligibility pending but also can play nickel

Anyone know what eligibility issue with McDonald is all about?

NCAA is denying pretty much everyone who is a second time transfer unless it is injury related. Not looking good for McDonald given that.

Wasn’t last year’s team the most connected? Most together? Something like that…

New year, new set of superlatives. The cool thing about Fleck is he does a good job of finding adjectives that fit the team.

PJ seems to be going all in with this team. If it doesn't at least match the 2019 squad, it will be a down year!

I feel like he probably has 10-12 written down, so we've got a few more years until he needs to repeat one.

Fleck can and should be all in with every team from here on out. He is in year 7, his system if fully in place, the roster is all his guys, and the portal opens up the ability for teams to quickly fill holes and avoid needing to go into rebuilding mode.

That said, when your schedule has 2 potential CFP teams on it, saying anything less than 11-2 should be considered a down year is going overboard.

Fleck hopefully has the program where 9-10 or even more win seasons become the norm. But there is still the reality of the college football landscape and where we fit in it. Beating the best of the best is always going to be a challenge for us because they have access to players of a caliber that we will have a hard time ever matching.

Obviously we all want to see another season along the lines of 2019 and this team may even be capable of doing it. But there is still a tier where this can be a great season even if we fall short of that high level of success.

I love that our fanbase now has higher standards and expectations. It wasn't that long ago where we would have loved to get to 8 wins.

The strength of schedule this season seems scary but I honestly don't think this team is afraid of it. My family lives in WI and are Badger fans. They and WI fans have always relished a schedule like the one we have this season. They have faced huge non-con opponents like LSU and Alabama, and have had big time night games against OSU and PSU. I feel like I have seen WI upset big teams more often than they have lost, and their fans are delighted but never surprised.

Will this team finally stand up to the big bad East division teams? Will this fanbase start trusting and believing that winning those games is not a fantasy?
