I suspected Nubin might take a huge leap as he seemed to improve down the stretch plus the year before he was getting a lot of love from the staff and came close to beating out Howden. He had basically zero experience entering last year.
 

Sure hope so. Obiously need HUGE improvement from the defense to make any noise this year...and S is a pretty thin position group. Couple nuggets from Burns' podcast a few weeks ago:
  • Both Nubin and Howden were playing new S positions during the COVID-shortered 2020 season. Howden had been starting opposite Winfield in 2019 and slid into his spot in 2020...Nubin had been backinup up Winfield in 2019 and slid into Howden's spot.
  • The staff thinks Howden has NFL potential. In not a scout, but that's what Burns said.
 


I hope so, he wasn’t very good last year.
