the following comes from the Purdue 2010 fan guide

"The competition will be strong again this season as we
host Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana. In addition, the
Homecoming celebration will take place on October 16
against Minnesota. As part of the festivities, we will celebrate
the 10-year anniversary of the 2001 Rose Bowl appearance
by the Boilermakers."

Perhaps I'm not reading this correctly, but it sure seems that the Purdue marketing team purposely did not include our beloved Gophers in the initial "competition will be strong" statement.

I doubt it very, very much. They are not saying "In addition to the strong competition, we also play Minnesota." The only reason that Minnesota is apart from the other three teams is that we are their homecoming opponent. They have a vested interest in hyping up all of their games.

good point. I believe the total debacle we witness every Saturday has clouded my brain. Almost to a paranoia like state. I am glad we do not have a home game against Indiana this year, btw.
