I don't think our commitment to the run has been the problem - it's been the execution. Today we finally executed.
 

I agree. If we executed better the first 3 weeks, we'd be running the ball more the 1st 3 weeks.
 

Maybe we actually had success today running the ball. Do you honestly think we just had to hand off 90% of the plays in the previous games to look better? Did you not see how awful our running game was? I'll take whatever works and gets us to the endzone. Today was the first time this year that was even an option.

Now hopefully it will continue so can be more balanced and win some games.
 


Whaley seemed to get more runs today then Eskridge if that says anything.
 

Fisch's job is to put points on the board, not to do it a certain way. 35 is a good day.

Gophers are running a new offense & it takes time; take the road win and SMILE!

Its easier to "get it" when you are lining up against the Northwestern run defense...

Its not like he wasn't trying any of the other weeks. We just don't have the offensive line to do it yet. Do you GET IT YET?
