179 is telling but St. Mary's was a very good team before Mills went down and now that he is back, with the deference given to teams that lose star players imho deserve an NIT bid. Had they beat Gonzaga there is an argument that they deserve to go to the dance.

Ummm....had St. Mary's beat Gonzaga they would've gotten the WCC automatic bid so there would be no argument....

Gottlieb is a tool. I watched him talking about who Louisville had lost out of conference to and he didnt even mention the gophers.

He dismissed that win immediately because Louisville "was tired from traveling across the country under bad a schedule" and so on in an attempt to totally dismiss it during the Iowa game. He apparently forgot to add that Louisville's players also were suffering from a bunch of their players having hangnails, a group of Cardinals players tripping over cracks on the sidewalk on the way to the arena and some forgetting which shoes go on the right feet as other reasons for the loss .

Everybody has their biases. Gottlieb just doesn't like Tubby or Minnesota. It's obvious in the way he calls a game when he does one. But that's okay. Everybody has their own, personal biases to bring to the mix. Just don't expect him to ever say a nice thing about the Gophers. It's just the way he is. Just like Digger can't get off of Notre Dame even though they suck.

Again, it's just the way it is.
