MV suggested today that Curtis Hughes may get some play at OL over the next few weeks due to the lack of depth throughout the line. We've also heard Josh Tuaefa will be burning his redshift for the remaining three games.

The latter could be due to a request from the player, but the former boggles the mind. After four recruiting classes, how is it possible we may be relying on a TE to fill depth at OL. For a supposed ace recruiter, this may be the biggest possible indictment of Brewster's tenure.

The losses were/are bad enough. Now we find out the recruiting methodology was diseased. What an effing disaster....

High number of losses, and not willing to burn through the redshirts of players like Gjere (sp) for a lost season. I wouldn't say that the recruiting was diseased, but you can only sustain so many losses.

Fair points. However:

1. Horton said yesterday we're too thin at WR to even consider Gray getting reps at QB.
2. We're thin at DB, hence a starting role 5'1" 140lb. Kyle Henderson and a total inability to stop the pass.
3. We're now thin at DL given the suspension of Ra'Shede and Kirksey.

Thin at one position is excusable given the propensity for football players to get injured. Thin at multiple positions is an indictment of Brew's recruiting.

Ironically, QB is the one position where we ostensibly have some depth while also being the one position where we ostensibly don't need it.

Brandon Green injured
Xavian Brandon injured
Hill went JUCO
Smith transfered to KSU to be close to his baby
Hayo swing and a miss

Yes, some bad luck (injuries) and some poor decisions recruiting wise
