According to rivals......we have the 23rd, 28th, and 45th ranked DE's in the entire nation signing with us.

They have a ton of redshirted lineman they love from last years class.

This is unheard of at Minnesota.

Bixby, Smith, and Schwartz all have really impressive offer lists. Love seeing the emphasis on D-Line, hopefully we are getting some quality ones here and can get to the point where we have a strong D-Line every year.

Has been a sore spot for the program for quite some time. Was nice to finally see the line generate some pressure in 2021. Hopefully it is a sign of things to come.

Chad Wilt = most important and effective non-coordinator assistant coach?

Too bad about some of the transfer D-linemen. Was especially excited about MJ Anderson.

Unfortunately transfers have dampened my excitement about new HS recruits. Hoping they stick around and we can cheer these guys on for 4-5 years.

They started to go to more of a 5-3/3-4 because they were having problems recruiting DL.
Looking back, it is actually hard to pick an area where Kill did having success at recruiting. It seems like they always tried to find those lost diamonds in the rough and move them to another position. It looked good at the time, but compared to PJ's recruiting it was just gambling.

Seemed to be strong at recruiting dbs!

I remember Kill saying that it was so hard to recruit talented DL out of HS. Turns out it isn't impossible. Ski U Mah
If y’all think it so dang easy maybe you should give it shot. Another shining moment for jer.

I seem to remember them having a lot of success finding DB's.

Solid list but you are definitely reaching on some of these guys, especially if the context is the NFL. Take Wozniak as an example. He was not a good college TE, and the only reason he got any sort of look in the NFL was because he bulked up to try and play Tackle. Lots of guys get NFL looks, very few actually make it.

This list does reinforce the idea though that DB and LB were the two strongest recruiting areas for Kill/Claeys during their time here. That is where most of the impact guys came from.

Andries was a 2017 guy so shouldn't be in there.

Kill recruited some good players but wow talk about over embellishing on 'pro money and pro run' for so many of these guys....

The NFL Factory hasn't cranked up to full throttle. Better days are coming yet.
