Great news. Was really impressed with him at HP, he can certainly still play.

Should be an awesome opportunity.
 

I'm still pissed off that he didn't get a spot on the Big Ten Defensive Players of the Year first team. Absurd.

+1 He should have been the defensive player of the year. If I recall correctly he was 1st or 2nd in blocks and 2nd or 3rd in steals. Could shutdown any player from PG to PF. Miss that guy.
 

I loved how he could stay a few steps back of the 3-point arc while defending a perimeter player and, if that player chose to attempt a shot from outside, DJ could close that gap in an instant, swat the ball, gather it, and start the break. What a game-changer.

One more thing, and I feel like I shared this once before, but I had the supreme privilege to meet DJ's Dad on two occasions. His Father was uniquely gracious and each time was willing to take a moment to talk. He (DJ's Dad) oozed gratitude for the U and for the experience and education his son was receiving in the cold north.
