How are you not ready for the slant on 3rd and 4 at the end of the game? It's only killed you all game.

How were you not ready for the QB keeper on 4th and short?

It was impressive that the Gopher defense finally made a play on a screen pass in the 2nd half.
 

yeah, he made absolutely no defensive adjustments at all...slants and qb draws and keeps....

THE SLANT IS WHAT KILLED US. I DON'T GET IT. WHY WASN'T COOPER INSTRUCTED TO JUST SIT ON THAT ROUTE? HE DOES THAT AND IT'S GAME OVER.

Also, our Safeties? horrendous
 

Cosgrove is at best a average defensive coordinator. As much as Bulimia is mocked what does it say that Alvarez would rather turn his program over to him versus Cosgrove. Add in the fact that he also choked at Nebraska while having one of the best defensive players in the last 20 years or more on his team. At the end of the day he was shown the door by two different hall of fame coaches, more than enough validation for me.
 

And South Dakota's game plan was not that complicated. They ran high school level schemes. Not to mention our players over pursued, over committed, didn't stay home and couldn't tackle.
