Serious question. I don't doubt this is ture but why would someone in the know text the media 15 minutes before the announcement? What is to gain?

Probably one of the only times he'll be able to leak news in his unimportant lifetime?

Doogie also tweeted that Reid to MN was a done deal 15 minutes before his announcement, for what that's worth.

Don't compare to us, compare to his other offers. If he didn't want to be a Gopher he had so many better options than Arkansas, which is what is puzzling.

I get your point, but if that were the case then Alex Collins would have never picked us last year after having offers from nearly every school in the country

While Ragnow would make this a great week for commits I'm not real concerned about our o-line depth if he does go elsewhere. The thing that would annoy me would be that we would lose him to Bielema and a bottom feeding SEC school and the way he invited the public to come just like the Reid Travis situation.

As with Travis's decision, you see it as inviting the public and I see it as inviting everyone he knows. I don't have a problem with it at all. Just wants everyone to be there on the biggest day of his life.

I don't begrudge him if he doesn't want to go to MN, but going to Arkansas to play for Bert, finish 8th in the SEC (at best) and watch him get fired in 2 years? Not sure I understand that...

Wow, that's a pretty good turnout.

380 idiots, and a few close friends/family.

Ugh. Frank wanted Minnesota to prove they could win more games and after they do it he spurns them for a team that went 0-8 in their conference? Doesn't make sense.

You can say it like that but he knows a lot of people are watching his every tweet being a big time recruit and trying to read into it. All I'm saying is when guys do it like him and Reid and then leave and complain about the backlash they should have been smart enough to just handle it like JC when he committed to Bama.

Really can't blame him. After the Gophers horrible bowl performance, I'd have serious questions about playing for us as well.

Almost as bad as Arkans......oh wait

This is extremely disappointing. Bad decision. It's wrong to swear at a kid, right?

QFT

Compared to losing the big 3 in basketball, this really doesn't sting that much. I'm sure he'll be a good player, but OT's don't make or break football teams.

Oh well...we should be able to find some other big dopey lineman from out of state to replace him. He's nothing special...
