A QBR average for true freshmen in the low 50s isn’t particularly great, and that includes some of the top QB prospects in some of the top offenses in all of college football.
This definitely isn’t the 1980s though. Plenty of additional opportunities for live training, and personal time tape study/iPad-based learning tools etc help them come in a lot more prepared for the mental side.
Bottom line is I think we’re all pretty excited to see ZA5 in action and hope he’s the savior of the offense, or at minimum a competent game manage that won’t torpedo drives and demand some respect from defenses.
