CBS: 2021 College Football Hot Seat Rankings: Evaluating the job security of all 130 FBS coaches (Safe and Secure: PJ Fleck)

B1G analysis: 0 is untouchable, 1 is safe and secure, 2 is good...for now, 3 is pressure mounting, 4 start improving now and 5 is win or be fired.

Illinois-Bret Bielema 1
Indiana-Tom Allen 0
Iowa-Kirk Ferentz 2
Maryland-Mike Locksley 2
Michigan-Jim Harbaugh 4
Michigan St-Mel Tucker 2
Minnesota-PJ Fleck 1
Nebraska-Scott Frost 5
Northwestern-Pat Fitzgerald 0
Ohio St-Ryan Day 0
Penn St-James Franklin 1
Purdue-Jeff Brohm 3
Rutgers-Greg Schiano 1
wisconsin-Paul Chryst 0

Hard to argue with any of these, in my opinion.

Agree with most of those assessments. Boomtime isn't going to like seeing Fleck with a 1 though.

Little surprised Tucker is already at a 2 in their mind. Also, not sure any Ohio State coach is ever at a 0. They may love Day right now but at the first sign of any issues that fanbase will turn in a heartbeat. 1 would seem like a better number for him.

Frost and Harbaugh definitely have the hottest seats in the conference right now by a long shot. And Brohm would definitely be in that next tier of needing to prove something very soon.

If Michigan state is 3-9 this year. Tucker is on hotseat next year. So 2 makes sense
