There is a log-jam in seeds 5-8 right now assuming MICH and IOWA both win tomorrow.

If NW should lose,
there would then be a 4 way tie for seeds 5-8.

Tie-breaker would be
#5 MSU
#6 NW
#7 IOWA
#8 MICH

So we would likely play MSU or IOWA, depending if we end up #2 vs 7 or #4 vs 5. (Of course assuming winners advance in previous games).

If NW wins,
they would bounce up to #4.
Wisconsin would drop to #5.

Seeding then would be:

#1 Purdue
#2 MINNESOTA
#3 MD
#4 NW
#5 WI
#6 MSU
#7 Iowa
#8 Michigan

#2 vs #7

If we lose, and NW wins.
#1 Purdue
#2 Wisconsin
#3 MD
#4 Minnesota
#5 NW
#6 MSU
#7 Iowa
#8 Michigan

We'd be #4 seed facing #5, which would be NW.

I just want to avoid Iowa at this point.

Well, looking at all the scenarios, our top 3 likely opponents would be Iowa, Michigan or Michigan State. You would rather play either Michigan team over Iowa? I sure wouldn't. Now if NW upsets purdue tomorrow, that means we could end up playing them if we lose tomorrow.

Sorry, I just don't like you. :D

In all seriousness, Iowa is playing with a ton of confidence right now. They felt they should have won the last matchup with the Gophers. They're a dangerous team right now.

So how did this end up? ESPN has us as the #3 seed. Lol
