He's now going on 3rd DC in 3 years. That usually doesn't end well.
 

Is Jeff really involved with the defense?

Does he not want to hand over the defense to someone?
 

I don't blame him for firing Bob Diaco. However, he does deserve some heat for hiring him in the first place.

Diaco's only success was almost ten years with an incredibly talented Notre Dame defense (Harrison Smith, Stephon Tuitt, Manti Te'o, Louis Nix, Robert Blanton).

Can you imagine if the Gophers hired a coordinator that had success at Notre Dame but bombed everywhere else?
 











If you have a quarterback taken in the first round after leaving Notre Dame you've done quite well. Let's not get off his bandwagon quite yet.
