At least Vereen didn't sign with the Packers or Lions.
Vereen will work his way on to the Vikings roster, either by injury or by hustle. Guys that can cover kick offs, and punt returns and hustle on special teams are valued. He learns the calls and terminology, and I expect him up to the 53 man after the bye week.
