Per Gabe:

Attacking the paint and getting to the line will likely be a point of focus for Purdue, as the Boilers hold the front court advantage on paper with Edey. The big Boilers’ presence could open up the charity stripe for Purdue, given its opponent sits 147th nationally in least fouls committed per game.

The Gopher offense ranks 118th nationally in scoring offense, averaging over 76 points per game on 47% shooting, including 34% from behind the arc. Minnesota shoots only 68% from the free-throw line, which is the third worst in the Big Ten.

Minnesota’s offense is also in the mid-pack nationally in pace of play, averaging over 70 possessions per game and less than 11 fast break points per game.

The Gophers have not walked out of Mackey Arena victorious since New Year's Day 2017, when they defeated Purdue 91-82 in overtime.

Go Gophers!!
