Detroit News is first out of the gate:

7. Minnesota (2-3) – The Golden Gophers had too many issues with COVID and had their game with Wisconsin canceled, putting this week’s matchup with Northwestern in a precarious spot. When the Gophers do get back on the field they won’t have wide receiver Rashod Bateman (0), who opted out of the rest of the season to prepare for the NFL Draft. Last week: 7.

Go Gophers!!

Hoosier Huddle chimes in:

7. Minnesota (2-3, Game Cancelled)
Last Week: 8

The Gophers were 2-1 in their last three games, but their momentum has come to a halt after Saturday’s contest against Wisconsin was cancelled.
Next Week vs. Northwestern

Go Gophers!!

Saturday Tradition chimes in:

8. Minnesota (2-3, idle)
The Golden Gophers have to find a way to move on after COVID-19 wiped out their greatest rivalry game, Paul Bunyan’s Axe against Wisconsin. Coach P.J. Fleck’s relentless positivity will come in handy to fire up his team for a tough test against Northwestern next weekend.

Go Gophers!!

This one made me laugh (Saturday Tradition).

13. Michigan (2-4, lost to Penn State 27-17)
I was sorely tempted to rank Michigan last. A home loss to winless Penn State, and surrendering 417 yards in the process? To say that the Wolverines are going backward is an insult to reverse gears, which are at least useful for backing out of your driveway.
