Wisconsin’s Michael Mersch, Ohio State’s Ryan Dzingel and Minnesota’s Adam Wilcox claim honors


First Star
Michael Mersch, Wisconsin
F – Sr. – Park Ridge, Ill.


· Registered five points (three goals, two assists) to lead the Badgers to a series sweep of Michigan
· Notched his first career hat trick and second career four-point game during Friday’s 5-2 win
· Recorded the primary assist on the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 3-1 victory
· Leads all Big Ten players with 14 goals and is tied for second with 24 points
· Claims his second career Big Ten weekly award after being named Second Star on Dec. 17, 2013
· Last Wisconsin honoree: Jake McCabe (Third Star) on Jan. 7, 2014

· Recorded four points (three goals, one assist) as the Buckeyes earned a win and a tie against Michigan State
· Tallied his second career hat trick in Friday’s 5-3 victory
· Also added an assist on Friday to match his single-game career high of four points
· Leads all Big Ten players in points (27) and points per game (1.50)
· Earns his second career Big Ten weekly award after being named Second Star on Dec. 31, 2013
· Last Ohio State honorees: Ryan Dzingel (Second Star) and Nick Oddo (Third Star) on Dec. 31, 2013

Adam Wilcox, Minnesota
G – So. – South Saint Paul, Minn.


· Stopped 64 of the 68 shots he faced (.941 save percentage) to help Minnesota sweep Penn State at Pegula Ice Arena
· Made 28 saves on Sunday as the Gophers claimed a 3-2 decision
· Matched his career high with 36 saves as Minnesota completed the series sweep on Monday with a 5-2 win
· Leads all Big Ten goalies in wins (14) and is currently riding an eight-game unbeaten streak, going 6-0-2 in that stretch
· Earns his first career Big Ten weekly award
· Last Minnesota honorees: Travis Boyd (First Star) and Kyle Rau (Second Star) on Jan. 7, 2014
