Anas Osama Mahmoud Commits to Louisville

Does georgia tech have the smallest student section in college basketball? There is no way he won't be impressed by our atmosphere after being to this game

If he chooses GT over us, I feel like it will only be because of the warmer weather. Aside from that there isn't really much of a reason to go to GT.

Weather and if he REALLY values an engineering education. The U has a very good Engineering program as we all know, however GT's is better.

"Lets go Duke" chants to end the game, what an awesome fan base GT has

Also the student section was chanting "overrated" when they were down 15. I guess they felt that Duke should have been killing them by more

Unless it is chemical engineering. We blow them away in that. We blow the world away in chemical engineering.

wow Gtech is bad, remember when this game was actually an event to watch? That team has never rebounded from losing favors(no pun intended), sad what happened to that program, wonder what happened for them to drop off like that

as a Gophers fan, I'm thrilled with his visit to Georgia Tech from a basketball stand point. Place was quiet, game was over five minutes in and just boring in general. Hoping the barn is rocking again tomorrow night!

That it was. G-Tech have reallly slid the last few years.

Anybody see Anas on campus yet? Will he be in the building tonight for Illinois? Looking for confirmation.

He'll be in the area for snomaggeden tomorrow?

Or are you guys not getting hit with it?

I saw Anas at the Vu a few minutes ago, so I can confirm he made it to the twin cities.

Hopefully the student section doesn't get the pronunciation wrong if they start a "We want Anas" chant.

Speaking with bias aside, if I'm Mahmoud and I truly do have offers from Florida, Louisville, Cincinnati, etc, there's no reason I'd even consider Minnesota after tonight!

He is down to minnesota and georgia tech, but I'll understand if he picks tech, what a pathetic showing tonight

Hopefully Mahmoud realizes that he can come in and instantly get as many minutes as he wants at 4 OR 5. Instant starter. Our big men were just plain awful, and have been for weeks.

Looks like they have about 12 hours to get Anas on the plane before the snow flies.

He looks real comfortable handling the ball. Hope tonight didn't influence him too much.

Would have been nice to win, but georgia tech also lost, and the atmosphere was much better at the barn than tech, It was a horrible loss, but I'm sure he enjoyed the visit besides the team losing, he wouldn't be a smart kid to determine his decision based on one game result, He knows our record, how we've done so far, officials are so you can see how game day experience is like, and from tv the crowd looked good and loud until the very end. His decisio is going to come down to relationship with staff, the academics of the school, the twin cities area, and the fan support. not the result of one game. Now we just wait and see who he picks

He has been to both schools, anyone know what the expected timeline for a decision would be for Mahmoud?

Unfortunately, I thought the crowd was pretty disengaged last night too. It was nothing like the Ohio State/Wisconsin/Indiana games.

49 points... we never did a thing to cheer about after the 10 minute mark of the first half. You would have had to hand out bottles of Red Bull to every attendee to make things lively last night. It was nearly insufferable.

If I had to avert my eyes or gouge them out, he probably did, too. A missed opportunity to make a good impression.

Anyone care to summarize?

Also, no changes in the 247 crystal ball predictions, still 100% Minnesota.
