A whole lot of rubber flying around

I haven't seen every post regarding last nights game, so forgive me if this has been discussed.
The field turf must have had a fresh batch of crushed up Firestones spread around. Even when the ball hit the turf, the rubber sprayed. Did anyone else notice that? Did the players have any comment?

I noticed the same thing and was mentioning it to a co-worker. He just shrugged and gave me a "whatever" look. I was flipping back and forth between the Gophers and Ohio State and the field was sooooo much more appealing to the eye at OSU. not only was the rubber-flying a bit over the top, but the field color was a bit too olive-green-washed-out for my taste. Rubber everywhere.

It could be worse... the end zones color could be out of sync with the seats.
