3-5 LSU Bans Itself from Bowls for 1 Year

So.. this year? Now that they are officially not going to a bowl?

This is bullshit. Surely the NCAA will let them do this though and count it. Same thing Auburn hoops just did.

I think there was a scholarship reduction as well but yeah the post season ban for this year is a joke. Kind of like when Wisconsin would suspend players for meaningless non-conf games to send a message.

You'd better make sure that it's not just Derek Zoolander and Hansel calling...
Hansel is SO HOT right now!

And honestly, way to go out on a limb 3-5 LSU. You suck this year so you thought you could sneak this by. How honorable...

Coach K at Duke suspending guys "indefinitely" and then they lose a game and BAM! suspension over.

The NCAA will not bite the hands that feed the kitty.

Anyone saying that they are banning their team this year from playing in a bowl game should also extend it to next year as well. This year means nothing as to bowls.

Boston College, who is now 6-5, just did the same thing. Though it was by the choice of the players. Even if it wasn't the chaos of 2020 the NCAA wouldn't care. The teams and conferences take the money, from Football, not the NCAA. Which ain't gonna change.

No March Madness? There's the NCAA's cash cow.

Turns out there are players out there who don't want to go thru all the hassle again to play a Bowl Game which may get canceled anyway.

Pittsburgh will not participate in a bowl game, the second team to announce it will decline a postseason opportunity.

The Panthers ended their season with a 34-20 win over Georgia Tech on Thursday night to finish 6-5. In a statement Friday, Pitt said the decision to decline a bowl invitation was made by the team and supported by the university.
