If his injury is season ending, I think the hardest part will be convincing him to stay another year. Like, in an interview earlier he already said he doesn't have many classes, which would likely mean adding a minor or two to make sure he has classes for fall 2019. Not to mention he'd have to want to stay another year. Maybe he feels he has a good chance at the NFL if he had a solid senior season, which may make him consider staying another year to get a solid season. IDK, this is all speculative and we should wait until we know the details of the injury.
Is he better than Cobb? Not sure he is and Cobb's career fizzled out very quickly. But age doesn't help him staying another year
