Please bring back Glen Mason, or anyone other than blowhard. There are a lot of proven coaches out there we could get.

Mason again? You are crazy!!

Good old Glen is enjoying his severence pay quite nicely, thank you. He probably will not even coach again. Like Bob Davie and many others who can make a decent living being on TV instead. And they do not miss the pressure and long hours involved either. Amen.

Go Gopher's:):):)

You think Glen would leave the BTN if the Buckeye radio gig opened up?

Great Post! Please bring back that dominate 32-48 Big Ten record! As well as that sweet 3-2 bowl record. I would love to know that we would only play 4 brutal non conference schools and playing butthole bowl games.

If after next season it looks like we aren't moving forward as a program we then cut Brew loose. But if it looks like he is doing what many believe and building depth and competition and it shows on the field next year we better get some apologies as well as give Brew the extension he would deserve!

By the way your post sucks, there was no depth or reason to it, you sound like you want a coach that is not going to build up the school, city, or the state. Go support Wisky or something!

ya i hit the wrong buttons on my phone and realized when it was too late

Worst post ever...maybe we should move back into the Dome too, I mean the team isn't doing better outside so we should give up and go back to the friendly confines of the Humphery.

Pretty sure that ship has sailed. But it's always funny to see the folks who still clamor for Mason and his unending dedication towards achieving and maintaining mediocrity.

Yeah, thank God we're not getting mediocrity under Brewster.

Yes, why don't we bring back the best coach in the history of college football at giving away football games. That would bring us back to prominence.

See, the difference is that Brewster has had three years. Mason had 10 and Brewster is essentially already where Mason was after a decade. Get it?

Technically, yes. However Brewster is nowhere near where Mason was in his 3rd year. In Mason's 3rd season the Gophs were 8-4, beat #2 ranked Penn State, took home Floyd and their widest margin of loss was 5 points.

Not his offense!!

Before you can make that case in a legitimate way you have to establish a talent level for the team Mason inherited, along with a bunch of other football things most of the pixies either can't understand or don't want to bother with.

You seem to have a pixie fetish.

I would support this thread if the title read "Bring Back Glen Mason as Offensive Coordinator and reinstall his ball control system."

If we had a Mase offense circa 03-04 and the current defense we would do very well. Brew's offense is all flash and no dash.

agreed, somewhat...

Yeah, and then he topped out big-time. We still can't determine whether Brewster has topped out or not.

You Mason haters need to face the facts, Minnesota should have never fired him..At Kansas he took over a poor team and led them to seasons of 6-5, 8-4, and 11-2 seasons and a top 10 ranking in all the polls. At Minnesota, he took us to seven Bowl games, and seasons of 8-4 and 11-2. Do any of you honestly think that Brewster can come close to what Mason did? Brewster has changed coordinators, what? Five times? His game management is a joke and he apparently doesn't know the truth from a lie. If this is the best we can do in Minnesota, it's a sorry day. Can anyone say that Mason didn't know how to coach?

Bring Back Mason? Why did someone hear that the third level players in Ohio were really showing potential?

Michigan 2003

Wisconsin 2005

Texas Tech 2006

Yes.

Once-in-a-generation collapses shouldn't happen three times in four seasons.

QED.
