They could be sworn in as soon as Georgia certifies the results. But you would still need 17 R's to grow a spine to remove him. I'd say you'll get 5-6 tops.
With Trump on his way out, they might be inclined to end his career.

That's a bunch of bullshit. If people had problems with election decisions they should have challenged them in court. Before election day. Not after. After they lost.
This. They challenged the two extra days MN was going to allow for mail to arrive BEFORE the election and they won. Those few votes didn't count. It was a BS ruling IMO, but the court sided with them. Fine.

Serious question: how soon will the Georgia senators be sworn in?
Realistically, how fast can the impeachment process go? They probably have a minimum # of hours for debate, defense in the Senate etc. Could they even realistically complete the entire process by 1/20? And again, they don't have 17-19 R votes IMO.

I believe a successful impeachment would prohibit Trump from running for President in the future.

When government fails - when real schooling disappears, when cities have massive increases in murders, when bureaucrats destroy businesses while ignoring their own rules - is our rage a surprise? And the media that has ignored or even cheered all this on is just as guilty.
This is NOT to excuse what happened yesterday. Our democracy is all we have. But Covid has exposed its rot at every level. Donald Trump is not the answer - but the fact so many people would even consider him to be shows how badly the system has failed.

This thread can now be ended.
Unfortunately your brothers and sisters are still out running around with their 5th grade educations....expelling their grievances over many of the imaginary crises that you listed.

Keep raging. It's a good look.

Yesterday was bad. Yesterday wasn’t terrorism, it wasn’t a coup, and it wasn’t close to what antifa did all summer with the media’s full blessing. If you can’t honestly admit the above, you’re not allowed to be part of the conversation going forward.

I think you were doing okay with that previous post, but you totally crap the bed when you equate the U.S. Capitol with the Lake Street Target. Think before you post.

It's important to remember how important the U.S. is to other countries' security and sense of well being...especially in a world that seems to be getting more dangerous all the time.
