Joe Biden raises Election Meddling, Bounties on U.S. Soldiers, and SolarWinds Cyber Attack in First Phone Call with Putin

"President Biden made clear that the United States will act firmly in defence of its national interests in response to actions by Russia that harm us or our allies," a US statement said. A readout of the call from the White House said that the two presidents also discussed the massive SolarWinds cyber-attack, reports that Russia placed bounties on US soldiers in Afghanistan, and the poisoning of Alexei Navalny.

The Kremlin's readout of the call said Mr Putin, "noted that the normalization of relations between Russia and the United States would meet the interests of both countries and the entire international community".
"On the whole, the conversation between the leaders of Russia and the United States was of a business-like and frank nature," the Kremlin statement added.

Joe Biden indicated he would be tougher on Vladimir Putin than Donald Trump, who refused to take on the Kremlin and frequently cast doubt on Russian interference in the 2016 elections. On that matter Mr Biden made his sharpest break with Mr Trump, reportedly telling Mr Putin that he knew Russia had tried to meddle in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. He also warned the Russian president that the US was ready to defend itself against cyber-espionage, and any other attacks.

I'm not a violent guy but i'm up for a drone strike up Putie's backside. That dude has been a menace to good people for awhile and a boon to wealthy authoritarians and oligarchs for what like 15 years?

Nobody loved Vlad more than Obama, I mean off the charts. That's been well-documented, not really necessary to beat that to death here. But it's funny after 8 years of that kind of love, we were all supposed to suddenly think Vlad was the devil just because we had a new Prez?

ODS much? Yeah but Obama. I am starting to wonder if you are losing it, PD. 45 was the one with the thing for Mother Russia. You are getting confused. Even Fox News had the story...

Nobody more happy about the Biden administration than Vlad Putin. Biden has enriched Putin and propped up Russia more in a week than the last several Prez combined. Well done, Joe! Killing the Keystone pipeline and possibly extending the nuclear arms treaty, Vlad couldn't have asked for ANYTHING more from Biden. It's almost like Joe is consulting Vlad on what he should doing....

Nobody is more delusional than you....

Vlad wants incompetence in our government and Trump was the embodiment of that.

Finally a President that doesn't kowtow to Putin like Trump did. Good that he brought up the bounties. Trump cowered and didn't say or do anything. But then again....he was Trump first. Biden is Americans first.

More worthless talk from Sleepy Joe. The guy stood by and watched for 8 years while his boss did essentially nothing, meaningless, toothless "sanctions" against Russia, while also massively downplaying what a threat Russia was to the US, and NOW we're supposed to believe that Grandpa Joe is going to get tough on Russia? So we're all dumb now, with short memories?

And we get to watch Broke just lap this stuff up like a dumb newborn puppy... classic.

Be easy on Vlad. As of January, he lost his control over 330 million Americans. He's having a rough last couple of months.
