Is it too late to impeach the motherfucker?

President Donald Trump called at least one of the two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers on Tuesday evening, before the GOP board members said Wednesday they wanted to "rescind" their votes to certify the presidential results from the county in Michigan, even though the board has already certified the results, The Washington Post reported.

Monica Palmer, a GOP board member in Wayne County, the largest in Michigan and home to the city of Detroit, told the Post she received a roughly-two minute call from the President on Tuesday, saying she felt no pressure to change her vote from him. The Detroit Free Press and Associated Press also reported Palmer spoke to Trump.

The two GOP board members on the four-person board sent sworn affidavits to the county's attorney disavowing their previous votes to certify. But given that the deadline for county certification has already passed, it is unclear what legal remedy or legitimate argument these two Republican officials can make to formally rescind their votes and undo the certification.

Democratic Vice Chair Jonathan Kinloch said on Thursday that the county certification date of November 17 is a definitive deadline and that board members' votes cannot be changed after the fact. The GOP officials sent their affidavits to the county, but the action stops there. They have not filed any lawsuits to try to force the county to call a new meeting.

They voted NO to certify to begin with. Then got bullied and threatened into changing their votes.

You should be targeting your liberal friends but are a big fraud

If they actually got threatened, the police should investigate. Pissed off voters calling them out on their BS coup attempt is not threatening them, and that's most likely what happened.

The fact that you're totally fine with BS Trump is trying to pull speaks volumes.

I see. It's a coup attempt if it doesnt help who you want to win. They had a job to do and didnt think it was appropriate to certify the votes. Let the democratic process play out. But no, you would rather justify threatening people.

So you think it's a coup to publicly encourage election board members to certify election results? Really?

The democratic process played out. Biden won Michigan by nearly 3% and over 140K votes. Two Trumpster shills should not be able to overturn that result be refusing to do their job.

Also, can you point me to where you expressed concern for the SOS of Georgia or Arizona being threatened by your fellow MAGA Patriot Warriors?

And exactly as expected based on the polls. In fact, Trump and the Republicans generally outperformed the polls. The most prominent place where the results were WAY off the polls was Dade County, FL.

I'd give five dollars to know what he said to her. He seems to have a way of convincing people to act counter to their own credibility and honor.
My question is: then why did they vote to certify in the first place???

Laws really need to be changed.

It should not be legal to not certify the result unless considerable evidence, beyond reasonable doubt, proves fraud changed the outcome of the election.

Two shills don't get to decided to invalidate an election. These people should simply be ignored at this point.

I saw the videos and they weren't threatened at all - they were admonished for saying they were going to change their vote - big difference.

Good Grief - the amount of candyassness on here boggles the mind.

Isn't a bit different to have your peers lobby you (that is part of the process), and having one of the candidates lobby you?

Also in all of these cities, tens or hundreds of thousands of votes were "late" or "lost in the mail" by DeJoy and co. Guess who most of them were cast for?

Way too much of our basic government functions/transitions of power rely on norms and men/women of honor doing the right thing. Now that we've elected a dishonorable liar who desires to be a dicatator and 43% of the country worships him, we see how much of a problem this is. There are many laws that need to be updated and have penalties added to them.

For example the government official in charge of certifying the transition is clearly supposed to do so once there's an "apparent" winner, which there is. But there is no punishment indicated for her refusal to do so.
