Weak hypothetical. Obama's recovery led directly to where we are right now. Trump owns the last 2 years - yes 2. He was presented a pretty solid base to operate from. It's not going to kill you to admit that.
Yup and the Kill/Clays era is responsible for the success of this year.

I guess Nancy gets the credit for this year's stock market growth then? Thanks Nancy!
What significant economic policy of Trump’s has Pelosi stopped? Trump passed tax reform, de-regulated, and cancelled Obama EOs.

In the first two years of Obama, Cap and Trade failed to be passed. Obama did pass the ACA and other increases with his majority. After that, Republicans kept Obama’s spending increases down.

...It is important to recognize that Obama did not stop trying to expand government after 2010. The president's eight annual budget requests gradually upped their 10-year revenue demands from $1.3 trillion to $3.4 trillion, while proposing an average of $1.0 trillion in new program spending over the next decade. His play, in short, was to gradually trim the budget deficit by chasing large spending increases with even larger tax increases. The Republican Congress stopped him...

The Dems called the Republicans “the party of no”. Pelosi’s House is called the “do nothing Congress”.

How about George Bush? He sure left a full cupboard on his way out!
Bush had very little, if anything, to do with the recession of 2008. Let’s not rehash that though. Please. The theoretical discussions suck.

Every post you make anymore is just vapid and vacant nonsense. When are you going to snap to your senses, or do you have none left anymore?
This is why I put him on ignore. Now, watch, he will respond to me. It will happen.

Bush was inherently a good but flawed man who loved America. Obama was an inherently evil man who hated America. We've heard this story before. Usually from Beeg.

Did I miss the thread where the RWers in here should be touting the very good, latest job numbers? Even manufacturing jobs increased, according to what I heard...

Manufacturing shrinking faster than during the great recession. Trump has done what for the economy? Ruined a growing economy that took two Presidents to fix. In one term, Trump is killing growth in one of the important segments of the economy. But, we know that his supporters will ignore the numbers and spout some discredited theory on how his efforts will pay off some time in the future. Not once, in fact never, has a made up economic theory as Trump proposes has ever worked. Each time it has led to a recession, 100% of the time since the 1890's. Name one period of time when tariffs worked to grown the economy in a period after their introduction?
