Accident: you've posted many times and with great detail and elaboration supporting those arguments
Zoonosis: you've posted a few times and nothing more than "it's possible".

Not at all equivalent.

Says who? And how can they possibly say?

Sars2 is not Sars and not Mers, for good reason.

It evolved differently. Prove that wrong.
Daszak has been blasting the alternatives all over the media. I’m presenting the dissenting viewpoint which has not been ruled out by the WHO. Just China, and Daszak.

Ditto

Scientists, including Daszak. That’s why they’ve been offering up intermediate hosts with the closest match to human ACE2 receptors like pangolins, or frozen ferret steaks...and other low probability hosts due to geography and lack of other clusters of infection in other countries or provinces.

They are (distantly) related coronaviruses also spread via respiratory droplets.

I can’t prove how it evolved. Nobody can, at the moment. The leading non-accident theories are 1) a bizarre coincidence of intermediate crossover occurring elsewhere (eg the US, or Africa or... a mink farm in Belgium ) and the human patient zero somehow ending up in Wuhan - this is the frozen ferret steaks theory Daszak is pushing or 2) direct jump from bats to humans, rapid mutation occurring in some random village - that went under the radar - and a traveler to Wuhan spread it around the urban center. The probability of this is probably much, much less than a research accident but 🤷‍♂️

Always easier to be critical of how things are being handled when you don't hold all levels of government. Now Democrats hold everything from the White House to the local offices in the places Amy Klobuchar is citing. Perhaps Democrats don't care about minorities? Or perhaps this is just a very big logistical challenge for anybody holding these offices.

“We know that the number of people getting the vaccine in the minority communities is significantly lower, and we need to improve that,” said Sen. Klobuchar. “It’s a combination of information and accessibility."

Nothing has been ruled out, and it's possible nothing will ever be proven with certainty.

And you're certainly dissenting in a boorish, highly biased fashion that indeed matches your handle.

Not rapid. Evolved between bats and villiagers for hundreds of years. Prove it wrong.

No it isn't. You want that to be true, but aren't able to even begin proving it. Nor the folks you agree with.

Or, they just don’t want the vaccine. Not directed at you, but please tell me Klobuchar and others are not so obtuse they don’t look at the various surveys. The real question is how to regain trust and fight disinformation. A tragedy, really and no innocent hand in the political activist sphere.

There should be genomic evidence and a much wider onset of cases if that’s the case. That’s the “ cryptic transmission” hypothesis. No evidence for it, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. It also doesn’t explain China’s evasive behavior...

I never said I have proof. That’s the point of this ridiculous string of posts - countering blatant disinformation by a few prominent players. You still, apparently, don’t get it or like playing your games. Fine.

He’s talking about the Obama-era retread - yet another individual receiving industry influence dollars. Do the right thing, Joe.

Because you say so? Why?

No evidence for it
Other than many disease causing pathogens having zoonotic origins?

Seems like a reasonable first assumption to make, unless other, rarer/less likely ideas can actually provide evidence.

I never said I have proof.
That's not a valid excuse for your posting style, heavily biased towards one idea and dismissive of all others.

I‘m trying to help you understand, with links and whatnot, why Daszak and China are making misleading statements. I am not an arbiter of final truth in this - I don’t know. You can choose to participate or continue to be Professor Obtuse. Your choice.

Maybe one of the weakest arguments I've ever seen related to the pandemic.

Federal government will try to force a longer shutdown, and ruin the economy .... to prop up Netflix.

No, you're not conducting any kind of good faith discussion.

You're making the assumption about the outcome you want to be true, and linking to people who agree with you.

You think taking money from industry, massive conflict of interest is funny? Hmm, because it’s serious business in many fields.

Linking to evidence and persuasion is a bad faith argument? What are you doing, then...attacking the messenger. Good grief.

New cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are all trending down steadily, so.....
OPEN UP!!! OPEN UP!!! OPEN UP EVERYTHING NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Er, wait, every time we opened up in the past, we failed to squash this and it reared its ugly head bigger and badder. Maybe this time we give it a few more weeks and squash this thing to small numbers, finally, like we should/could have done long ago already. Time to stop blowing our opportunities. The longer we piss around with this virus, the more maiming, the more death, and the longer the economic issues.

Wear a mask. Social distance. Don't partake in large social gatherings. Get vaccinated as soon as possible. Let's try to stomp this miserable sh!t so we can begin to move on. Every single one of us matters in driving this away.
