This is a complete sh!t show. There is no rationalization for rioting/violence. Any rioting/violence. There wasn’t earlier this year and there sure as hell isn’t for what happened today. The big difference here is the fucking POTUS incited this rioting and violence. Think about that. I’m embarrassed for our Country.
It’s a huge difference, by the way. This was fanned by the President of the United States. His inability to lose gracefully has generated months worth of baseless nonsense designed to give him cover to prevent personal hurt. It’s really narcissistic.

Your little group is talking a lot about this kind of stuff today. One of you creeps keeps calling people honey, you're talking about Bungholes of boys, it's gotten kind of strange.

Humor is s sign of intelligence, honey bunny, and you since you have none and cannot figure out when people are joking, BoobsLaw.

Bunghole Boyz (sorry if that turned you on )it was a sarcastic jab at Bugaloo Boys - the group who committed multiple murders at the BLM protests

As far as that little bit about you comparing your offline life, we all know you don't think that.
It was a joke which was directed at CRG, not you. Sorry you're jealous cutiepie.

Remember your tantrum when I said lets compare our levels of education?
I'm laughing art your raging insecurities.
LOL. We all know that deep down, you know, in your heart of hearts, that your life stinks.
My life's great, but thanks for your concern.
No one with a decent life comes on message boards to talk about their foul-mouthed angry mothers.
I was sharing an amusing anecdote on a tragic day to show how tragic it was.
That something that creepy basement guys do. It's like Buster Bluth.
BOLDED ABOVE CLOWN - SEE IF YOU CAN FOLLOW OLD, SEMI-EDUCATED WHITE MAN

We are currently at zero deaths for these terrorists.
Wrong, one dead terrorist.
Wonder if her man who probably brought her thinks it was worth it...

Today has literally zero to do with this summer in Minneapolis.

Literally zero. They are not coupled, in any possible honest sense of logic, emotion, or any other human intelligence construct.
And the rioters in Minneapolis were?

How about when the one guy committed suicide in the parking garage and people began looting downtown within a matter of minutes. There was an honest sense of logic and emotion for that violence? Huh.

The "honest" in my above statement was talking about honestly claiming that they are coupled.

It wasn't talking about the honesty of rioters or looters.

I can't necessarily disagree with anything you stated in your post here or in the post that you quoted from Spoofin but it's sad that we are now in the business of ranking/justifying our riots and mob behavior in this country. I suppose if you really believe the election was stolen and the President lights the match, you end up with a scene like yesterday. I suppose if you watch the George Floyd incident and you really believe the entire establishment is systemically racist and that event was happening with regularity, you end up with a situation like MPLS. But, is there any honesty in our politics/media/society any more? Where are the adults in the room? What the hell is wrong with us? Seriously.....

Yeah, I’ve drafted about nine posts about this, and none seem right. Certainly, it can’t just be about the rule of law, because sometimes the law is wrong. Tom Sawyer told Huck Finn that he was going to Hell because he stole Jim, and Jim was property. Certainly, that’s a case where few would recognize the law as correct.
On the other hand, it’s tough to sit here and watch people burn others property with impunity. Especially when the victim of vandalism is not the perpetrator of inequality.
The DC crowd has certainly been emboldened by the events this summer, as they think that nothing will happen to them.

Ok. He denounced and called in the National Guard within about an hour and a half. Again, I wish the National Guard and politicians would have acted that fast this summer as private property was being burned to the ground. Instead, they pandered to it. So I'm not too shocked that this group of nut jobs would say "hey, if those people can burn down a city, I should be able to storm the capital".

We need order restored.
I'm going to ignore the first thought here, as I'm not sure that's an accurate depiction. The rest of this post, I generally agree with. I would add that they were practically escorted in, which, of course is a massive failure. There's no way to be sure what would have happened, had they had competent security. It's not too difficult to imagine a few different possibilities. My thought? It would have become minorly violent, there would have been dozens of arrests, a few people injured and maybe a few people killed (maybe not). Nobody can be sure.

But one thing is certain. The optics of what actually did happen are different from a police precinct burning to the ground, but in my mind, symbolically, much more vile and disturbing. I don't have any special affinity to the members of Congress. There's a lot of slime there. But symbolically, this cuts very deep to the fragility of our democracy in ways I never could have imagined. The completely brain dead statement made by the President in the midst of it all gave me grave concern for where we are headed - quite literally more than any of the hundreds of dumbass things he has said and done over the past 4 years. Then reading this board with all the sycophants made me angry. Your posts made me angry, BobLob. I don't see how anyone can come here and do anything but condemn this vigorously. We can't even fucking agree on this. Pretty fucking sad. And it makes me very angry.

How stupid do you have to be to break into Congress and show your face????? Good Lord
Not stupid. They know they have support. They are like cica das. They have been lying dormant for some time. Now they are seizing their moment. The South errr... the Trumpsters shall rise again. Trump should have followed is daddy's footsteps and joined them.

They can have them lining the Capital when it's BLM protestors, Hmm. I wonder what the difference is?
Yup, pretty much. Trump will be happy that some of his supporters REPLACED THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA with a Trump flag. Somehow sedition is more respectful than kneeling in protest.

Trump was tweeting about Mike Pence not having the courage to “do what should have been done” as his band of crazies was actively smashing their way into the building. It was only after that did he ask for his crazies to “REMAIN” peaceful. What a joke
Yep. Left HIS VP vulnerable.

The Department of Defense was asked by the Mayor of DC to activate the guard yesterday. But aren’t showing up until now. The DOD didn’t want to create an optic of being too forceful. It’s BS. Trump did nothing, no leadership, came out an said AGAIN, the election was stolen, but go home.
And yet no problem when it's for a photo opp.

Is that accurate? I have not read that.
Every major news outlet has reported the capital police were offered the national guard 3-days before and declined. They were offered FBI earlier in the day as things started to escalate and declined.

I’m not sure why no one is asking questions about these things?

Capitol cops aren't the only ones who are supporting these thugs out in the open. One of the huge threats the country faces is that we can't count on law enforement to back up the rule of law against right-wing domestic terrorist threats.
