I’m guessing he doesn’t have to rely on a “409K”, or a 401K.
Nothing says, "I'm a populist" like saying, "I don't know what a 401k is because I don't have one for myself." Feels great trusting the nation's economy to that guy.

These are stupid, bad faith arguments. You don't really care.

Don is not letting impeachment slow him down. He's in Davos bragging about protecting our great American inventors, including Thomas Edison, inventor of the wheel.

I believe it was in Ohio that the wheel was first invented. Akron was it not?

I actually do care.

There are two types of populism, nativism and economic populism. Nativists want to protect white Americans from anyone who's not white American. Economic populists want to return some economic power to the many instead of few.

Trump claims to be both types of populist, and inexplicably people not only believed him in 2016, but continue to believe him. Every single thing he's done is evidence of the fact that he's a nativist, but his claims of fighting for Main Street over Wall Street were always just window dressing.

A true economic populist would not only know what a 401(k) was, but would understand how those plans fit together with other tax-advantaged savings mechanisms in order to help provide average people with a viable retirement option outside of Social Security. The fact that Trump is confusing a household cleaner with a savings plan is just more evidence that he is not only interested in helping Main Street, he's also completely disinterested in mastering the finer details required to do the job.

Wait. Maybe Im missing the context. He wrote 409k instead of 401k. And you read a lot of other stuff into a typo.
Not to mention your nativist nonsense. I actually can’t remember Trump bragging about being a populist. Mostly others labeling him such.
We get it. Everything is racist. Bla bla bla. Very persuasive.

You can say it is "just a typo", but he's the President, speaking as the President. The sloppiness of the work is really appalling. Would it kill him to slow down, and perhaps have another set of eyes on his brain drippings before he hits send?

Half of me wants to agree with this with every ounce of my being.

The pessimist in me though, somehow wonders if it's part of the plan, to "look dumb" and appeal to people who not only aren't intellectual, but are proudly anti-intellectual. People who agree and think that intellectuals ruin the country and sit on high horses in their fancy universities, trying to indoctrinate everyone to be "socialists" (a vauge term that simply represents every aspect of every thing these people have been taught to despise).

Is it a typo if he did not mean it to be something different? Think about that Mr. Occam. I’ll hang up and await ur covfefe.

Obama was interviewed twice by Bill O’Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday.

Trump is being interviewed by Hannity next week after skipping the interview last year. #toughguy

They can't risk him being interviewed by any non state-run media at this point. I'm sure Hannity will be fair and balanced.

JANUARY 16, 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These days are stressful for poor Don, seeing his impeachable conduct laid out in detail. He tweeted 140 times one day last week. That map is like a blanket and a bottle in one for his poor ego.

From the Christian Post...May 2019

Christian author Lance Wallnau, one of the signers of the statement, announced he was participating in the June 2 prayer event in order to defeat liberals.

"For your sake, for your children the Left must be defeated everyplace every time or we will see the reverse of every gain. Join Franklin Graham, Paula White, me and 250 other friends of Trump on June 2, to PRAY!" he wrote in a retweet of Trump decrying a recent court decision regarding wall construction on the southern border.

Earlier this month, Wallnau was selling a $45 "Trump coin" on the "Jim Bakker Show." Purchasers of the coin would have a "point of contact" with God, he claimed. The coin shows Trump alongside King Cyrus from the Old Testament. Trump has been compared to Cyrus among certain evangelical Trump supporters

Could you elaborate, what statement, and what does it have to do with this thread? Also, are you making the argument that if one signer of some statement is discredited, that therefore discredits the statement, its author, and all other signers? Thanks

It’s a look into Trump’s spiritual advisors.
What statement? link? Not challenging you ... legit want to know what you're talking about.

You seem to be a native English speaker. Please use more words than five at a time

Hey, that’s a reasonable take. What JUST FACTS did was take a single fact, Trump wrote 409 instead of 401, and based on that fact, concluded that:
Trump doesn’t know what a 401k is
Therefore Trump is not a real populist
Therefore Trump is a nativist.
therefore, Trump is a racist who wants to protect white america from minorities.
so yeah, he is sloppy and his tweets suck and are unprofessional and unpresidential. But that’s not really enough to stoke outrage. White Supremacist because he doesn’t know much about a tax break for mainly middle class white families? That’s the ticket. Every single time.

The 409k thing doesn't show he's a nativist. The constant harping about the Wall, and MS-13, and ending birthright citizenship, and the travel ban show he's a nativist.

Also, the 409k thing is just an example of how he's not a real economic populist. The other evidence comes in the form of reduced SEC enforcement, reduced regulations on big business, reduced taxes for big business, refusal to allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices, etc.

Fox News. Fair and Balanced. I guess the 93K outside trying to get in made him short circuit in excitement.

The Wall is just a means to an end. An end that Obama himself argued for. Is Obama a nativist?

It's an example of Trump being sloppy with his tweets. It almost seems to me that they are sloppy on purpose. Populism is really too vague of a term. But sure, the way you define populism is definitely not Trump. Economic nationalism perfectly describes Trump, and I don't think he or his supporters dispute that characterization. So sure, not a populist. Happy?

KGF said he was a populist here: https://www.forums.gopherhole.com/boards/threads/steve-bannons-book.80571/page-3#post-1500968

Here's Steve Hilton Fox News: https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/trump-real-populist-facts-democrats-steve-hilton

Here's Trump echoing Steve Hilton:
Laura Ingraham wrote a book about it:

Steve Bannon said Trump was running as a populist during the campaign: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/n...trategist-plots-new-political-movement-948747
