But the point I want to make is: Parler hasn't done anything of this sort. Rather, they paid Amazon to use their data centers and associated services. They have no right to them, they're private infrastructure.

If they want to build their own data centers to service their own platform, go for it.

However, the appeal of Parler is not to plot terrorist attacks. You are all probably unaware, but the past few years have seen a steady stream of conservative type accounts banned for absolutely nothing. Parody accounts banned, for example. And a blatant double standard. That’s fine, Twitter can do whatever it wants. Anyone on the right would prefer not to give business to leftist activists who hate them. Opportunity exists for 75 million to use a competitor. And now we see big tech circling the wagons. Also fine (although you all would be sobbing). Another opportunity for competition.

Over 70 terabytes of info was downloaded and archived (about 99.9% of the data). It includes raw metadata. They had an easy backdoor to become a "moderator" to the site and download the entire history...which has been done. There is no erasing or scrubbing this.

Many Parler users submitted an image of the front and back of their drivers license to prove they were citizens. Also Social Security numbers. How do you think all those people got added to the "no-fly" list so quickly?

They also had all the geotagging enabled, so the FBI will know every Parler user that was at the capitol. As if the pics of Rep Laruen Boebert didn't do enough (she also tweeted out location info for Pelosi).

I see now WalkAway, of all things, has also been banned. Mrs. Rand Paul talks about all the social media that is encouraging violence on her husband after he received 6 broken ribs and a damaged lung. NYT and Philadelphia Inquirer fired editors for allowing an article discouraging looting. Of course the silence from the left regarding violence as cities burned this summer.

In my mind the best solution would be to give way more power to the states. Then at least people would have an opportunity to move to a place where they could be happy if they want.
