Yes, I didn't want to mention Comey because that would be rehashing the past. You're very right about #4, though. Thank you for adding that to the list of important differences!
The thing is, there's no reason something like the Comey situation won't happen again this time. In fact, when you think about it, it's astounding: an inside job against the boss's candidate. Now imagine what can happen with Trump in charge of the bureaucracy.

Agreed. Right wingers support their own freedom but no one else's freedom. They're perfectly happy to assert their rights to pollute the air they breath and the water they drink and couldn't care less about the rights of others to clean air and water. And they demand the right to use their property and operate their businesses any way they see fit without being burdened by government regulations that protect the rights of their employees, customers, neighboring property owners, and the general public to be protected from activities that negatively affect them.
George McGovern called he wants his 1972 talking points back.

Boy, these right wingers seem like really bad people.

Perfectly said. Right wingers love freedom and rights except for when they don't.

RW "rights" summarized: Rights for White Straight Christian Males should be absolute. Everyone else can have them too as long as group 1 isn't inconvenienced or made uncomfortable in any way.

New swing state polls show Biden 16 points ahead in Minnesota, and with a 6 point lead in Wisconsin

A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Wednesday reports that 57 percent of likely voters polled in Minnesota prefer Biden and 41 percent favor Trump, a 16-point advantage for the former vice president.

Biden’s margin in Wisconsin is narrower, according to another Post-ABC poll also published Wednesday that shows him with a 6-point lead among the state’s likely voters, 52-46 percent.

According to a RealClearPolitics average of Minnesota surveys conducted from Sept. 3-13, Biden remains 10.2 percentage points ahead of Trump in general election polling.

The RealClearPolitics average of Wisconsin polling, which includes surveys from Aug. 29-Sept. 13, shows Biden ahead of Trump by 6.7 percentage points.

New Monmouth Poll: Biden up 5 points on Trump in Florida

Monmouth’s poll shows Biden leading among Florida Latinos 58-32, roughly in line with Hillary Clinton’s 27-point margin in 2016, though she lost the state to Trump overall. A recent poll by a Democratic Latino research firm reported Biden’s advantage among Hispanics was smaller, 53-37 percent, a finding that alarmed Florida Democrats who have been concerned about the amount of outreach the campaign is doing to attract these voters.

Trump holds a substantial lead over Biden among white voters, 56-39 percent. However Trump won the same group by more than 30 points in 2016, and Biden’s support in central Florida and areas outside of Democrats’ traditional strongholds in the southern part of the state is stronger than Clinton’s was in 2016.

“The current picture has Biden maintaining a typical Democratic advantage in southern Florida while making notable inroads in other parts of the state,” Monmouth polling director Patrick Murray said in a release.

There's no way Biden is winning MN by 16, but still that is a bad sign for Trump in the Midwest.

Past 5 presidential elections in Florida:

2016 D ----------------------------- R

2008

2004

Bush's 2004 margin looks like a landslide compared to the others. Buckle up again I guess.

Like the Woodward book?
You're saying that a private citizen publishing a book is the same thing as a public servant conducting an official investigation using the resources of the federal government. Got it.

Come with better logic next time.

Without question it was a bad comparison. To make it worse Woodward also wrote two books about Obama.

More bad swing state polls for Don:

Maine; Biden +21

Maine CD 2 which Trump won: Biden +9

SC: Trump +6

But he can take comfort:

Kentucky: Trump +20

Clinton states + MI, WI, AZ, NE01 and ME02 =271 for Biden even if PA and FL don't come through.

TlM the tool man...
Whatever your feelings for Trump, these are some interesting points that TlM Allen makes. Put your hatred aside and think about these observations.

Here are some interesting points to think about prior to 2020, especially to my friends on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians and Independents and the never Trump Republicans and those thinking of "walking away" from the Democratic party.
Women are upset at Trump’s naughty words -- they also bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray.
Not one feminist has defended Sarah Sanders. It seems women’s rights only matter if those women are liberal.
No Border Walls. No voter ID laws. Did you figure it out yet? But wait... there's more.
Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the country speaking out about white privilege.
And just like that, they went from being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections.
President Trump’s wall costs less than the Obamacare website. Let that sink in, America.
We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally. We are fighting evil.
They sent more troops and armament to arrest Roger Stone than they sent to defend Benghazi.
60 years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation. In only 10 years, Venezuela was destroyed by democratic socialism.
Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. But Trump was the one investigated!
Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the State of the Union. President Trump Invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union. Let that sink in.
A socialist is basically a communist who doesn’t have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint ... Yet!
How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight and with a cellphone?
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants to ban cars, ban planes, give out universal income and thinks socialism works. She calls Donald Trump crazy.
Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones To get her to go away. I don’t remember the FBI raiding his lawyer’s office.
I wake up every day and I am grateful that Hillary Clinton is not the president of the United States of America.
The same media that told me Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning now tells me Trump’s approval ratings are low.
“The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”— Margaret Thatcher
Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; She thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.
President Trump said — "They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way."
Read that again.
Pass along these truths!

This is going to have to be a hell of an October surprise or something way more than just "cheating." Trump's numbers are looking bleaker every day.

Referencing Nate Silver's chart posted above, I wouldn't say that Trump's numbers are getting bleaker daily per se. It's just that the closer we get to the election, the less time is available for those to change. I agree with Charlie Cook: this is a pretty stable race with relatively little movement, the overwhelming majority of voters' views of Trump are fixed, and Trump's ceiling is low.

You are smoking something and here's a pro tip: Bad Gopher is injecting something. The polls are mostly run by Dems. There is ZERO enthusiasm for Biden. Most all of the undecideds will break for Trump. Trump is in better shape than he was in 2016. Anything could happen at this point, but anyone counting Trump out is beyond stupid.

It seems that Biden is going to win. Has seemed that way for a while now. So be it - neither choice is a good one. What really gets me tho is all the ground work the Ds are laying in case Joe loses - and I see above you are eating up every bit that you are fed. I've never seen or heard so much conspiracy BS in my life. There seems to be about 20 ways "Trump is cheating" that we know of already - and its just September. I truly can't decide if I want Trump to lose so I don't have to hear the "he cheated" BS crap for 4-years or if I want him to win so I can laugh at how pathetic all those that will be chanting it for 4-years are.

Losers are losers and will always be losers. This is how losers think. Zero accountability, it can't be because of any of my own failings

If Trump loses you will STILL hear that he only won because of Russia, and it was an anomaly. If Trump wins, you will hear that Russia helped him again and he cheated. Biden is actually a much worse candidate than Hillary ever was.
