Good news on Intensive Care Beds

From the St. Paul paper. Minnesota has 243 official Intensive Care Beds. These are special beds in special rooms. Currently only 7 of those beds are being used by Covid 19 victims. Indeed only 15 Covid 19 people are in hospitals now out of the 285 known cases of Covid 19 (effective March 25). This is all good news for those of us in Minnesota unless you are of the gloom and doom religion.

Very good news. The entire US, as of yesterday had 1300 cases in intensive care for the China virus. Many more are in intensive care for the regular flu but that is in its declining stages so I would hope beds from the regular flu open up for the China virus as needs get more urgent.

We have one dead person in the state, 80 years old with three pre existing critical conditions prior to being infected. But, you are right, the New York metro cituation is really bad.
