WTF does Biden have to do with gas prices?

That is all supply and demand. I know a guy whose family runs a big gas wholesale operation in SW MN. He sat down one day and gave me a short course in how gas prices are set.

gas prices went down during the pandemic because people were not driving as much - due to people working from home - kids doing distance learning - people not going out to eat - and people not going on summer vacations.

as the economy opens up and people drive more, prices will go up.

there is also the issue of fuel blends - refineries do winter and summer fuel blends. winter blends are less expensive to produce, so gas prices typically go down during the winter and go up during warmer months.

The unfortunate thing is that brokenbrain really is stupid enough to think that is Biden's fault. Just a reflection of today's right. Very very stupid (not all) folks over there.

Price at the pump is .40 - .50 a gallon higher.....

Thanks Joe and Garden Tool.
Thanks for expressing your deep understanding of spot pricing, the relationship between WTI and gas prices in the Midwest, and bonus points for calling our VP Elect a whore.

BTW, WTI was about $47.50 on May 1 and has seen a steady climb to just about $54 today before retracing a bit to the levels they were in February, 2020.

National average gas price today? - $2.33
National average gas price 2/20? - $2.56

Hack.

The president has no impact on gas prices!!!! Presidential energy policy has no impact!!!!

Get real.

Prices at the pump go up by nickels, dimes, and quarters - always have.

Prices at the pump go down by pennies - always have.

Hmmmmmm......

Why is it then, SON, that prices at the pump can be .25 a gallon LESS 20 miles away where refineries are within 25 miles? Or in the middle of northern MN, a refinery no where to be seen?

Oil producing countries have been restricting supply as demand rises a bit causing the prices to go up, Biden isn't the President, he couldn't try to negotiate any kind of deal with oil producing countries even if he wanted to.

Oil Etf's were a pretty safe bet to make some money a couple of months ago,

Prices are going to go up in the future, no getting around that.

Drive a car that gets 30 plus. You dont really care about commuters going to and from their jobs.

Sad.
If u were able to use ur brain to earn a living as opposed to waiting tables or ringing up lotto tickets, u could probably telecommute. 🤑

I don't know the subject of his sentence. I think he's telling you to drive a car, with the understood subject.

Yep, gas prices have jumped by 30 cents per gallon. I figured it was just Gov Walz and the dems adding additional taxes for roads and such. It seems we're bent on turning the petroleum industry into the next tobacco industry. Just tax the the h3ll out of things and hope people don't go making their own fuels...

Are people making their own tobacco? Or gasoline?

Carpool, save your money and get yourself a nice Tesla or Lucid, maybe a Fisker. You can do it.

Right? Who the hell needs safe roads and bridges anyway? If people are worried about menial problems like... the 35W bridge collapse, they should just walk everywhere. The REAL patriots in their trucks will be just fine on crumbly roads.

Most of the extra goes into a backroom deal with buddies who get the contract. Who cares if people can't afford a car or travel to work because their check is taxed beforehand and afterward...

OP has a point...the president has been disastrous for gas prices.

Hopefully when Biden is president that'll change.
Treasonous traitor doesn’t have to drive to work. Hard working Americans have been rewarded with low energy costs, thanks to djt

Average gas prices over the past five years. Anyone notice how the only thing that ACTUALLY happened under Trump was RISING gas prices up until the pandemic bottomed them out.

Thanks for trying Obama. But Trump was clearly against hard working Americans.

You're right. Melania Trump was treated with such dignity and respect. Some of the people on the board are going to have UNGODLY short memories in the coming weeks and months when it comes to how the office is treated...

Just another partisan fraud...
