This article brings to new light the presser with Walz and Frey where Frey got slammed for not protecting the city. If I recall, one question was specifically, did you fail to protect the city? Then Walz stepped up and said, to Frey "sorry you had to answer that question" but Walz never himself admitted fault. Now we know- Walz was behind the failure to respond and to allow the city to burn. Can the governor be recalled?

Both Frey and Walz are in way over their heads.
Frey is a total lightweight and politically clueless, but I give him credit for the day when he said he was not in favor of defunding the police. Despite the way he acted like a woke weasel before that and kneeled for them, standing up and being honest took some guts. You would never see Walz show guts.

There was nothing Walz could have done----- without a time machine.

Frey seems to be trying to pass blame so he can get a 2nd term. He's definitely a weasel. We will see where this ultimately leads.

That's the problem with the far left, your either all in or your out. Have to be the wokest of the woke, if your 80% in for their platform your still a corporate shill, a weasel, not worthy of their support.

From the other side I find it hilarious that what will probably cost him a second term will be not being left enough.

Maybe if Frey gets on board with the new compliance with criminals program he can gain ground with his base. Do some PSA videos showing the proper way to turn over your car during a car jacking for instance.

The question is what exactly is all in to the far left? There is no far enough left to satisfy the wokest of the woke. Ultimately the far left will eat their own.

Kind of like how the Forever Trumpers ate the Never Trumpers?

More like how the lies swallowed up the so called Truth Seeker.
How are those stimulus packages going? Are they reigning in the debt and shrinking the deficit?

Remind me, who supported the stimulus between the two of us? Also, who is against the stimulus between the two of us?

Who was for TARP and the bank bailouts? Who was against them?

Yet, you say you're the real fiscal conservative who cares about the debt and deficit. LMAO!

No, not that easy. Frey did absolutely nothing, and then expected to be bailed out on a moment's notice, with no internal coordination at all. When the guard commander asked the city what they needed, they had ZERO idea.

I would have never shut the economy down in the first place. What would you have done ace? You will be voting for socialism this fall. This much we know. You are a big government totalitarian. I would have asked the US population to go to work, like Sweden did. Sweden spent 6 billion to prop up their economy- we have spent 6 trillion. 1000x. That's on you and the people you support.

Frey is a complete clown, but Walz also had advance warning that the mob was going to take down the Columbus statue on the MN Capital grounds and did nothing about it. He could have removed it, guarded it, etc. Instead, he let a small mob destroy state property. Walz is showing that he talks a big game, but often he seems afraid to make a decision.

What ever happened with Walz's "there will be consequences" speech? We're there ever any consequences?

Thank you for highlighting the problem. Trump and his extremism has caused an equal and opposite reaction and now there is a very quickly diminishing middle ground. Once he is out of office, people can settle down and start making attempts at mediation and moving forward with some semblance of unification. As long as he is in office, he is the wedge that drives this country apart.

Not really new news. Only Nero would be proud of Walz's actions, or make that non-action. Trump called it at the time, and Trump was right.

"The situation in Minneapolis at the time of these messages was deteriorating quickly and even got the attention of President Trump who took to Twitter on May 29 to say that he “can’t stand back & watch this happen." He continued, “A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right."

Yes, the police told the mob that there would be no arrests at the time that the statue was taken down. We were told that there would be arrests later. I think we are still waiting.
It'll be a long wait. We know exactly who did it. Yet another Nero decision by Walz...

A city burning down vs. the toppling of a statue. Neither good, but not close to the same thing.

The radical left wasn't a thing when Trump wasn't our President. You can live in denial all you want, but like our POTUS - that usually isn't very effective.

You are correct, when there was a Democratic president, the Republicans went to work and did not create complete chaos. When a Republican gets in, the radical left goes crazy and NOT ONE Democratic politician, call them out for their intolerance. The mob is rewarded for their bad behavior, just like a spoiled child.

I agree on your premise that extremism has caused an equal and opposite reaction, but don't agree on the timing. The left's actions prior to 2016 led to Trump's election in many ways as covered in this 2016 Politico article and it's all spun up further since then. There was no way another typical milquetoast country club-type Republican was getting elected to President in 2016 and will never again. The old GOP is dead as is the Bill Clinton era DNC (which I used to vote for). Unfortunately, I don't see either party going back to moderate civilized debate at the Presidential level anytime soon.

Trump is one of the least extremist presidents you could get. A number of his ideas are quite Democrat friendly. From a policy standpoint please point to extreme positions that he holds.
What Dems hate is that Trump wants to break the power base of the entrenched swamp, which favors establishment politics and he actually fights them.
If Trump loses (don't bet on it yet) things won't suddenly get peaceful. The left is going to demand more and more. Suddenly people like you will figure out that it wasn't Trump.

The country was deeply divided when Bush was in office and he was as kind of a man as you could be. The left hated him and lied about him. The country was divided deeply with Obama in office and he sowed division on race and socialistic measures. Obama, the fundamentally transform America candidate, was the guy with extreme positions and a smooth tongue.

The dirty little secret here is that we find that the Dems don't actually want a solution to race issue or immigration issues. They LOVE that those problems exist. They provide a power base that they can manipulate. Imagine if blacks were employed at a high rate for a long period (as we were seeing the beginnings of prior to covid. Huge problem for Dems. Imagine there was a real border wall that stopped illegal immigration and we could resolve who is here and offer guest worker status or even citizenship routes to the best of them....Huge problem for the Dem power base. They do NOT want those problems solved.
