Is this your response to criticism of Nancy Pelosi comforting herself with her $15 a pint ice cream in her secluded mansion in San Francisco while the rest of the city suffers with poop and drugs in the street?

Are Texans Democrats out repairing the frozen power lines while Texas Republicans live the life of luxury?

I think you‘re lacking an understanding of political hypocrisy. Republicans aren’t telling other people to suffer by leading a life of conservancy while ignoring conservancy for themselves. But all least we know Cruz flies commercial unlike many of the lefty elites who fly in private jets and live in 60K sq ft mansions while telling the little people to conserve for the climate.

Dude. That is one odd comparison.

Just another example of how little people in the political class are wholly out of touch with reality. While I am not sure what Ted Cruz could to do restore power to people in Texas as his is not a Wichita Lineman, a little common sense would say this is probably not a good time to go to Mexico. It’s not different than the Denver mayor flying to Louisiana to have thanksgiving with his family after a press conference saying you should not see your family. Or Lori lightfoot getting her hair done after closing those business because of Covid. Or California legislatures attending a conference in Hawaii in the middle of a pandemic. It’s just a long list of these stupid politicians having no moral compass, which is add given they all have handlers telling then what and where to be at all times.

THE QUESTION
Does Texas have an independent power grid? What does that mean?
THE ANSWER
Yes, most of Texas’ power supply is connected to a grid entirely within state lines. It is one of three power grids in the country: a western power grid, an eastern power grid and the Texas grid.
That means the connections Texas has to other grids is limited, which in turn limits the amount of power that can be transferred from other grids to Texas and vice versa.

Just prepping for when they secede from the U.S.. They don't need no stinkin' federal assistance.

Texas mayor resigns after telling residents desperate for power and heat "only the strong will survive"

A Texas mayor resigned after seemingly telling residents to fend for themselves in a Facebook post amid a deadly and record-breaking winter storm that left much of the state without power Tuesday.

As then-mayor of Colorado City, Tim Boyd wrote an insensitive message for people desperate for heat, water and power, saying "only the strong will survive and the weak will [perish.]"

"No one owes you [or] your family anything; nor is it the local government's responsibility to support you during trying times like this!" he said. "Sink or swim it's your choice! The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING! I'm sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout."

When you elect people to provide government services that don't find government services necessary, this is what you get. There really isn't much benefit to living in an incorporated area if you have live as if you are in a township.

Power companies make lots of money, but as that mayor said, they don't owe you shit, your pipes can break, house floods, freeze to death, whatever.

Connecting to a regional/national grid would provide power security for the people but they don't care, making money is what they care about.

By the way, the last one has Ted Cruz tweeting out CNN criticizing Democrats. If that isn't an OTB bingo, what is?
