"The president has been described as "isolated," "miserable" and "angry," according to sources who point to the suspension of his Twitter account as a particularly sore subject."

I'll bet he's seething, and obsessing with his own victimhood, and dreaming up bizarre revenge scenarios against everyone who has 'betrayed' him.
He needs craig and humble beggar.

Shite just got real. I'll take these true patriots over the treasonous traitors from 1/6.

National Guardsmen protecting Capitol now armed with lethal weapons - POLITICO

The Pentagon has approved National Guardsmen protecting the U.S. Capitol to carry lethal weapons in the days leading up to the inauguration, as law enforcement continues to receive information about credible threats of violence from armed militia groups, two Guard spokespeople confirmed.

As of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the Guardsmen who are responsible for security around the Capitol building complex were armed with lethal weapons, U.S. Air National Guard Capt. Chelsi Johnson told POLITICO. The New York Times was the first to report the news.
Maybe our faux patriots will go back to washing their F-150's for a couple of weeks.

Olympic Swimmer with 5 total medals (2 gold) - swam with Phelps - arrested. Dude is tall and was wearing an Olympic jacket - not Where's Waldo - he lost his job and was homeless in his car - I hope he gets some help, as he's a young guy still.

Klete Keller Olympic Swimmer Charged in Capitol Riot (vulture.com)

The list of insurrectionists that have been charged for their participation in the Capitol riot continues to grow and now includes a new category of person: former Olympian. On Wednesday, January 13, the New York Times reported that former Olympic gold medalist swimmer Klete Keller faces three federal charges for breaking into the Capitol building during the deadly riot last Wednesday.

Throw away everything for Trump. It boggles the mind. What are these people thinking?
He needed someone or something to blame for his desperate situation. Trump's rhetoric is tailored to people like him. Also, it's a 'club' that he could join and feel himself to be part of a community.

That's how cults work, I believe.

They had an interesting piece on CNN about the cult/brainwashing; mental health experts discussed much more in-depth and eloquently than I can communicate, how if you are in a weird place, going through duress and cut yourself off from families and friends, it can happen fairly rapidly - as you finally found someone who understands. It's really vulgar how it happens. I'd guess that some are more susceptible than other to it as well.

It was on NBC - and if you click on the link and scroll down you can watch it - only 4 minutes long.

Same strategy as the failed painter from Austria.

Is it ironic that those who are the most fervent supporters of the second amendment, that claim we need to be armed to protect against an insurrection, are actually the ones insurrecting?
Yup - great insight.

Just like the guys are the most homophobic are the ones must likely still feel guilty about having played the skin flute at band camp.

Not that I disagree, but...much of their overall point is the ancient concept that we have a basic right to revolution. So, here we are. The thing is, they want to have a revolution of the vast minority over the vast majority, which goes against the concept.

If cancel culture is now comsumer freedom of choice, what ISN'T cancel culture?

Quite honestly, we've been told for years that government regulation isn't necessary because companies that do bad things will be punished by consumers who take their business elsewhere. Now we're told it's wrong to do that.

Yes. It's amazing how fast some folks can flip-flop.

Delta Puts Trump Supporters Who Harassed Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham On No-Fly List

The Republican senators were called “traitors” by right-wing Trump fans while waiting to board their flights last week.

Antifa infiltrators really played the long con in this one. Before attending this rally they got jobs as cops, a state represenative, an Olympic gold medalist, a military colonel, a CEO, and toothless hicks. Gotta admire the commitment.

Anyone attempting to physically stop congress is acting as a bully and insurrectionist. It is tantamount to attempted treason and insurrection. I am reminded of George Washington having to put down the Whiskey Rebellion shortly after taking office.

Fear acting out in insurrection cannot be tolerated. However, it is incumbent upon President elect Biden to calm the fears and assure the Right that he will not legislate and turn this government into a totalitarian left-wing socialist/communist dictatorship under the guise of democracy. The world has seen the totalitarianism of the democratic socialist states of Russia. The Soviet Union was technically a democracy.
President elect Biden, speak to the nation and allay those fears.
He has been as patient and inclusive throughout his entire campaign as anyone I could ever imagine. Biden has preached almost nothing other than bipartisanship and progress. Biden's done his job and is doing his part. It's not up to Biden, it's really up to folks like you to stop the lunacy and the ridiculous games. Will you?
