"In another post, he allegedly said his and others’ voices have gone unheard, that their lives have been slowly taken and freedoms have been attacked. “They work for us and have no right telling us what we can and can’t do!” one post said. “I’m sick of it and so are the Patriots! With God on our side we will prevail!”"

Hmmmm.

So, people who are elected to Congress — as lawmakers, specifically to create and to pass legislation — apparently should not be... doing precisely that?

That's a bit of a head-scratcher, right there.

Even the sentence before that makes no sense. Why would he be in the Capitol trying to keep DT as President since DT was in office when his life and freedom were being slowly taken. SMH

2 Men Charged With Assaulting Brian Sicknick, Cop Who Died After Capitol Riot

Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of West Virginia were arrested Sunday.

U.S. law enforcement agents have arrested two men who participated in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and charged them with assaulting a police officer who died after responding to the riot.
Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of West Virginia were arrested Sunday and are expected to appear in federal court Monday, The Washington Post first reported.
Khater and Tanios are charged with nine counts, including assaulting U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick with a deadly weapon. Sicknick died as a result of the riot, though authorities have not determined his exact cause of death.

Four rioters also died that day, and two police officers who responded to the attack died by suicide days later.
Khater and Tanios are also charged with assaulting another Capitol police officer and a D.C. police officer with a deadly weapon, as well as with civil disorder and obstruction of a congressional proceeding, the Post reported.

Ahhh, the Sicknick nonsense again. Sicknick did not die as a result of being attacked with a fire extinguisher by deranged Trump supporters. This dangerous lie is intentionally being spread by the left because...let's be honest...the left wants all Trump supporters labelled as domestic terrorists & locked up, because they want one party, militaristic, Soviet style rule.

The Sicknick lie is absolutely critical to the left, as it's the only example they have of the Trump supporters killing anyone that day. So, even though the story about Sicknick dying from having his head bashed in with a fire-extinguisher has been debunked, they have to continue that narrative. Just as they have to continue the false narrative that Trump supporters brought zip ties to hold politicians hostage/assassinate them is critical, because it's one of the few ways they can pretend the riot was an organized "insurrection". To that end, they must also continue to pretend it was an "armed insurrection" because it justifies the Dems virtually unlimited powers for domestic surveillance, their militarization of DC & their ongoing persecution on non-compliant political ideologies.

Glenn Greenwald once again is the voice of reason on the progressive left. Read his piece on the Capital riot. It is well worth your time to understand what is actually happening.

"What took place at the Capitol on January 6 was undoubtedly a politically motivated riot. As such, it should not be controversial to regard it as a dangerous episode. Any time force or violence is introduced into what ought to be the peaceful resolution of political conflicts, it should be lamented and condemned.

But none of that justifies lying about what happened that day, especially by the news media. Condemning that riot does not allow, let alone require, echoing false claims in order to render the event more menacing and serious than it actually was. There is no circumstance or motive that justifies the dissemination of false claims by journalists. The more consequential the event, the less justified, and more harmful, serial journalistic falsehoods are."

I don’t support the rioters actions or the underlying premise of the event but where was this type of outrage when ordinary citizens were being accosted and attacked by violent mobs all summer and fall?

The propaganda is incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it.

100%. Even more on point, where was the outrage when the left tried to storm the White House, causing Trump & his family to be evacuated to a secure bunker?

Protesters’ breach of temporary fences near White House complex prompted Secret Service to move Trump to secure bunker

Or, where was the outrage when the left stormed the Senate building two days in a row, during the Kavanaugh hearings?

Glenn Greenwald summed it up nicely in the piece I linked above:

"One can — and should — condemn the January 6 riot without inflating the threat it posed. And one can — and should — insist on both factual accuracy and sober restraint without standing accused of sympathy for the rioters."

The media is fully partisan in terms of activism at this point. That some won’t admit it is frightening.

Kudos to Matt Taibbi, Gleen Greenwald in journalism, Bret Weinstein in academia for calling out all the hypocritical BS. These are the type of people that might disappear in some countries.

For all the hand wringing from the left about Trump being a dictator, it's the left that locked people in their homes due to Covid, closed their businesses, closed their schools, arrested people for attending church, supports censorship, banning books, thought police, has weaponized the intel agencies, turned DC into a military fortress, refuses to answer reasonable questions from reporters, will not allow reporters near the detention centers on the Southern border & defends like a Pravda-esque press, not Trump.

It’s more that the press won’t fixate on these things and hammer missteps and policies mercilessly when the regime in power is useful to their cause.

The vicious attack on mostly liberal or at least centrist dissidents to an activism agenda within the press or academia is extremely troubling. The Minneapolis incident, pandemic have been a convenient level of chaos to inject steroids into the far left progressive agenda. When you are able to frame any objectors to an agenda as racists or enablers of racism it’s an un-winnable argument, until a critical mass sees things have gone too far - before it’s too late (see Venezuela).

Its a tear fest in here.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Whiny RW snowflakes whose freedums are being impinged due to a riot where 140 cops were killed and multiple people died.

They also bring up a few women yelling at legislators and make that as a the same as angry, stupid, armed men storming the capital - their lack of intellectualism is stunning as their lack of knowledge regarding sports and small loins.

I'll refer back to Greenwald...

"One can — and should — condemn the January 6 riot without inflating the threat it posed. And one can — and should — insist on both factual accuracy and sober restraint without standing accused of sympathy for the rioters."

I'll bite since i'm watching buckets today and you are rung to mess with occasionally, what has occurred so far in the charges that isn't factually accurate or has followed the law. Specifics are appreciated as always and if you aren't your own source, please cite as you did with Double G (character from The Wire as well) whose opinion you are sharing.

Evidence in Capitol Attack Most Likely Supports Sedition Charges, Prosecutor Says

“I personally believe the evidence is trending toward that, and probably meets those elements,” said Michael Sherwin, who had led the Justice Department’s inquiry into the riot.

The statute on seditious conspiracy also says that people who conspire to “oppose by force the authority” of the government or use force “to prevent, hinder or delay the execution of any law of the United States” can be charged with sedition.

The government has charged some defendants in the Jan. 6 case with conspiring to derail the final certification of President Biden’s electoral victory.

Mr. Sherwin witnessed the crime as it unfolded. After he dressed in his running clothes and entered the crowd at the rally near the White House, he observed a “carnival environment” of people listening to speeches and selling T-shirts and snacks.

“I noticed there were some people in tactical gear. They were tacked up with Kevlar vests. They had the military helmets on,” he said in the “60 Minutes” interview. “Those individuals, I noticed, left the speeches early.”

More from the article and the 60 Minutes interview, regarding the death of Officer Sicknick:

Mr. Sherwin told “60 Minutes” that the government had charged more than 400 people. Among them are hundreds accused of trespassing and more than 100 accused of assaulting officers, including Brian D. Sicknick, the Capitol Police officer who died after fighting with rioters.

Mr. Sicknick and two other officers were sprayed with an unidentified chemical agent that one of the assailants said was used to repel bears.

A medical examiner has not determined how Officer Sicknick died, Mr. Sherwin said, so two suspects were charged with assaulting an officer instead of murder. But that could change, he said.

“If evidence directly relates that chemical to his death,” Mr. Sherwin said, “in that scenario, correct, that’s a murder case.”

Brian Sicknick: Two arrested for assault of Capitol Police officer

Two men have been charged for using bear spray on a Capitol Police officer who later died after responding to the 6 January riot. Brian Sicknick was one of five people who died following the riot, but it is not clear if he died from the bear spray - which is like pepper spray.

Julian Elie Khater, 32, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, were arrested for assaulting several officers. They were charged with nine counts including assaulting three officers with a deadly weapon, civil disorder, obstruction of a congressional proceeding and face up to 20 years in prison. The pair were "working in concert and had a plan to use the toxic spray against law enforcement", according to court documents. Officer Sicknick, 42, was injured while "physically engaging with protesters" and later died in hospital.

Results from Sicknick's post-mortem examination are expected on Monday - the same day that Mr Khater and Mr Tanios are expected to appear in federal court. Investigators used video of the riots to identify the men, allegedly caught on camera discussing the assaults.

According to court documents, Mr Khater was recorded on video asking Mr Tanios for the bear spray at 14:14 local time near the Lower West Terrace of the Capitol, where Sicknick and other officers were standing guard. Minutes later, Mr Khater is seen on video discharging a canister of the spray into the faces of Sicknick and the other officers, according to the arrest papers. All three officers were temporarily blinded and incapacitated for more than 20 minutes, investigators said.

Sicknick got maced, as did hundreds of people that day. Sicknick was on the phone with his family that evening. He told them he was fine. The next day he had a stroke. The Dems are desperate to pin a murder on the Trump supporters. Without it, they just have a riot.
