The internet along with social media give everyone a voice and a platform for that voice. Guess what not everyone deserves a voice and they should be ignored.Even if there were 5k people at the Capitol doing insurrection, that's still only 5000/330M = 0.0015% of our population.
It's really amazing how much attention a small, but extremely motivated, loud, and angry group of crazy people can suck up.
Not saying they shouldn't be arrested, of course they should. Not saying we should ignore what happened, either.
Really just marveling at, yet another curse of humanity: the outsized influence that small groups of people can have.
We should probably pull all law enforcement from one of our major metropolitan cities to see what it looks like. Save us from all those daily misdemeanor field executions. Just not from my town.
