per the Chicago Tribune:

Based on public statements and conversations with sources within the conference, here’s our ranking of the schools that most (and least) want to play.

#13. Minnesota

Coach P.J. Fleck said that after the Aug. 11 decision was made, he sought the opinion of his Gophers. “Every player has said the Big Ten made the right decision,” he said. If the garrulous Fleck had done a 180 by now, we probably would have heard about it. Plus the Gophers are in a pro-science state.

Go Gophers!!

Coach Fleck is likely going to be behind his players no matter what. When they made the initial decision, most if not all the players said they thought the B1G made the right decision. As more information has come out, new testing methods have been approved, etc Players may have changed their mind (i.e. I felt like I had a high chance of catching the virus if we played initially, but now that we have been presented more information I fell okay to play). If the players now feel like they could play safely, Fleck would support them I think, even if he disagreed.

I would imagine every coach in the B1G is singing the same tune as their respective administrations. I would be absolutely shocked if any of them are "speaking out of turn". For some, it may SEEM like they are going rogue but I would bet the house against it.

I think that quote has really been taken out of context. The context around Fleck's comments were that he was in the process of meeting with every player, and that of all the players he had spoken with, they said they understood why the B1G made the decision that the B1G made, and that they agreed with the decision. That doesn't mean that they don't want to play.

I have a hard time believing that a critical mass of players in the Gopher's locker room don't want to play football.

Someone wrote elsewhere it's the governors more than anything.

Based on this standard as long as Michigan and Michigan State are ranked behind Minnesota, I'd agree.

For what it's worth Teddy Greenstein has never been much of a fan of Fleck, at least since he got to Minnesota.

Here is Teddy's take on the matter today. It's a long article. Full of details. Didn't see him apologize for his rather idiotic take on Sunday but maybe didn't read it close enough..

All schools ranked tied for #1.

Another fraudulent clickbait take by a journalist.
