Trump making gains in Miami-Dade, where he lost to HRC by 30% in 2016, but is now down only 17% to Joe Biden. It's the Hispanic vote that has swung Trump's way with Trump at 47% of Hispanics & Biden at 46%.

"That 17-point deficit is well outside the poll’s 4.4 percentage point margin of error. But Trump doesn’t need to win Miami-Dade. He just needs to do better in the Democratic-leaning county to offset possible losses in other parts of Florida.

“If you’re the Biden campaign, looking at these numbers, I think there’s reason for pause,” said Fernand Amandi, the Miami-based pollster and Democratic strategist behind the poll. “If Biden under-performs in what should be one of his strongest counties — and is certainly the largest county for Democratic votes in the state of Florida — it might imperil his chances of winning Florida unless there is a massive white voter exodus from Trump in other parts of the state.”

The Bendixen & Amandi poll — conducted Sept. 1 to Sept. 4 — wasn’t all bad news for the former vice president. Biden led Trump, 51% to 33% among Miami-Dade County’s independent voters and 48% to 44% among white voters. Biden was also winning 16% of Republicans.

But the poll found the former vice president splitting Hispanic voters with Trump, with Trump at 47% and Biden at 46%. Those numbers — based on smaller polling subsets with larger margins of error — are driven by Trump’s increased support among conservative leaning Cuban Americans, who supported Trump over Biden in the poll by a crushing 38 points. Just eight years ago, those voters roughly split their votes between Republican nominee Mitt Romney and former President Barack Obama."

Lations want to work, old people don't want to die. Who knows how each plays out in Florida.

Howie won’t comment
Look, Florida is always tough for Democrats to win. Nevertheless, according to the wording above, this polls shows Biden doing about as well with Miami Latinos as Obama, who won the state, did in 2012.

Florida is to Trump, what Pennsylvania is to Biden.

Each candidate can’t lose those respective states and win the election. Trump loses Florida and the election is lost. Biden loses Pennsylvania and the election is lost.

You dummies. It's notoriously hard to poll Latinos in Florida. Cubans are Puerto Ricans vote very differently, but they're both labeled Latino in the polling cross tabs.

Biden will narrowly win Florida, and Trump will lose, bigly.

You let CRG troll you. He's the biggest troll on the OTB.

Not true. Biden wins Wisconsin, Michigan, and North Carolina, or Arizona plus Maine CD-2 or Nebraska CD-2 and Biden wins. He can win without Florida and Pennsylvania.

Biden has more paths to win than Trump.

You only need one path to win, but Trump has multiple paths. All of those paths must include Fl, NC, Oh, and Ga., but there are several possibilities in the other battleground states. I didn’t say Biden needs to win Florida. I said he can’t lose in Pennsylvania. If he loses in Pennsylvania, hes got problems and would not win NC either, and MW states would be in serious jeopardy.

Bloomberg commits $100 million to help Biden win Florida....
Excellent. I was wondering when Bloomberg was going to show up again. He said that he was going to help and support the Democratic nominee. And his speech at the DNC about the disaster that is Trump was BLISTERING. He could have hours and hours of attacks on Trump....considering how terrible he's been.

That's probably true.

I am sure Bloomberg supports paying more taxes himself. Kind of the polar opposite of Republican rich donors. Fight fire with fire.

When Kamala Harris visited Miami last week she was met with a lot of Latino enthusiasm. Just not the kind she'd hoped for.

"The Trump team considers the Democrats culturally tone-deaf, whether it’s the attempted boycott of Goya, a staple of Cuban-American households; the push to use the ridiculous term “Latinx”; or the emphasis on the word “progressive,” which echoes the self-description of Latin America’s Communist regimes."

Wow! There must have upwards of ten Hispanic people in that video. Tremendous!
It is good considering that the standard rally for Biden is 5 people (all races mattering).

Biden supporters don't need to act like there is more support than there actually is. That's basically the Trump fanatics way of begging people not to panic.
